X-Plus is pumping these out pretty quick. Here are some images of Godzilla 1964 and Jet Jaguar.

They're both listed as being part of the Large Monster series, which is the smaller series compared to the 12" sized ones like Gigan and Godzilla '68. Godzilla '64 has a preorder price of $180 compared to the normal price of around $100 for the smaller series, which makes me think the retailer might be mistaken and Godzilla '64 might be part of the 30 cm line.

sweet !!! i love 64 .. i wish they would just stick with the 30cm line

I'm thinking the new size might have to do with sales, it seemed like they were slow to turn out product at the 12 scale and people could keep up, but at the lower prices of the smaller ones, you can put out more in a shorter time and maybe even make more money. That's if people accept the new size, they've yet to ship one of the small ones so maybe they won't be popular and they'll stick to the bigger.

I'll take '84 from them in either scale, but a 12" done right would be a highlight in my collection.

Godzilla collecting is all about connections, the best stuff is overseas and best way to score it is get to know as many fellow collectors as you can to help you know what's out there and where to get it. I'd be clueless about these X-Plus pieces until they were long sold out if it weren't for this thread.

Ebay's been the biggest source for my Godzilla collection, lots of older, rarer items found and some newer but not as mainstream in the U.S.

You know where to find the large scale godzilla items ?

Not for cheap, you can find them on eBay but they fetch around $1000+, the ones I've seen, assuming you mean really large scale and not just 12".

BBTS has the X-Plus '64 and Jet Jaguar listed and priced as 12" versions, so maybe they are the larger scale. They still don't have the '89/'91 up for order.

BBTS may not have the 89 or 91 because they must be selling tremendously well in japan and elsewhere. pre-orders for both of them are sold out at Hobby Search . the X-plus site has the 64 as 30cm

as i was farting around i stumbled across the following images. apparently Stan Winston created an American Godzilla for Jan de Bont 's version of Godzilla before he quit because Sony would not approve his budget. for those like me who've never seen these pics can now imagine what could have been ??????

I think that's the dumbest Godzilla design ever, even worse then GINO, but people seem to like it for whatever reason.

at least this resembles Godzilla .. Gino was just a plain Joke .. even Dean Devlin has pretty much admitted that.
with some tweaking this design could have been pretty awesome

So what do you think of the '89? It's shorter yeah, but the in hand shots I've seen on the web have looked pretty impressive.

It looks like the next X-Plus 30 cm figure is going to be Baragon. He's one of my personal favorite Toho monsters, so I'm really looking forward to getting him.

It also seems to be more and more likely that X-Plus is planning on completing the whole cast of Destroy All Monsters as we've gotten Gorosaurus, Anguirus, Minya, Godzilla '68, Mothra larva and now Baragon. All we're missing is Manda, Kumonga, Varan, Rodan and King Ghidorah.
