that SHMA 2000 repaint is a web exclusive but it it US only? have not seen it listed on hlj, amiami or hobby search. sorry if dumb question.

Just as I predicted a few days ago, Large Monster Series 1995 Godzilla. godzilla1995_01.jpg

As this has a light-up feature, it's possible this is an RIC website exclusive. Might not be a normal version available for other retail outlets to carry. It would suck for people who can't order from RIC.

Seems to be a trend lately. I just now received my Large Monster Series DAM Gorosaurus and 1971 Gamera, both exclusives. The Goro was a repaint of the 1967, so I understand that, but the 71 Gamera was never offered anywhere else.

Much better look at it..that's a little better. I'll withold judgement until I get some better pics. But so far....om not blown away by the sculpt.

Got my Gigantic GMK kit today and I hope to have it done by Monday. I've got it put together in sub assemblies, and will start painting it tomorrow. The fins are placed for the photo only:

It looks pretty spot on to the movie, maybe it's that it's softer in expression from the more artistic gigantic one which makes him look pure evil.

Was thinking that as well..but I think the paint is dulling his look up to.

I felt the first sample photos of GBG looked a little flat too but the in-hand colors and details really popped

Part of the problem is they are using translucent orange vinyl with paint over it. The orange vinyl doesn't pop. There is no color variation. The grey paint is applied in such a general fashion, there is no detail, It's just big patches of orange or big patches of grey. No finger-like intrusions or anything like that.
