I'm the opposite, it gives me a lot of hope for the new Godzilla. Granted the CGI looks like something prior to 2005, but it is so much closer to American production quality than anything I've ever seen with Toho Godzilla. I'm not looking for Toho to reach the bar set by Legendary but if they can't even come through at Gamera level, they should pack it in, there's no room for modern movies in this genre to feel like something from the 70s and not in a good way.

Hopefully, this will spur Bandai to make Monster-Arts figures for Gamera 3! It's still the best Kaiju movie of all time IMHO. I figure we will at least get some Monster-Arts figures from this new movie.

Gamera 3? The best ever monster movie? I think maybe the best of its decade...but ever? There's just several golden age kaiju movies that I think are in a league of their own. Best Gamera movie I give you that though.

It's only available through the RIC website as this is a Japanese re-issue. It doesn't seem to have a light up feature, so I'm guessing this might be one of their resin versions. I have the vinyl one from a few years back.

If anyone is at NYCC three of the main Godzilla suit actors are there signing

Haruo Nakajima. Kenpachiro Satsuma and Tsutomu Kitigawa. It was an incredible experience to meet them all. and yes, I'm the dorky white guy with the stupid smile in the middle.
