That's another thing, Goku only had one writer. Superman was all over the place, but that's the SOP in the West.

Goku trained at 100 times normal gravity and Vegeta trained at 450 times normal gravity, and that's early on in the show. I'm sure by the end of Z in their higher levels of Super Saiyan they could train in the 1,000s of times normal gravity fairly easy.

I'm just curious, I have probably seen one of the movies and a handful of episodes, and it was generally just when they were fighting someone I thought looked cool, but I never saw Goku do anything that I thought would put him in Superman's category.

You have to remember most writers have to dumb Superman waaaay down just to have a competitive storyline. You take Superman with his powers as described or something like Superman Prime, its just hard to imagine him being put down.

Super Saiyan God is gigantically stronger than that. SS3 is obsolete now, even though SSG looks dumb.

Supes Prime can create life, universes, alter realities, he's omniscient (including 5D vision and powers), omnipresent and almost omnipotent below characters like the presence.

From what I've read, SSJG doesn't even come close to that.

Absolutely, in my opinion. Without even mentioning SSJG, even a low-level Saiyan like Raditz could move faster than the speed of light. Pure strength isn't the only deciding factor on debating who's "better" .
