Finally unboxed him just now and all I can say is, very impressive.....Soo glad I picked this up........

Just received the PF and it is an amazing piece. Really like the Smeagol one more than Gollum torso, but they are both incredible pieces.

I'm working on the video right now and putting everything together for a review so keeping checking the thread. I will try to post it by Monday or Tuesday.

The Gollum/Smeagol pf is hands down my favourite piece that I've purchased so far this year. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I don't have any other LOTR pieces, mainly because I've only got so much room, ad my favourite characters never seem to get the best likenesses, but this one was a must have, and works superbly as a standalone piece.

In fact it is so good I seriously considered buying a second one so I could display both Gollum and Smeagol as full sized statues.

Can someone tell me if the base is supposed to look kinda scuffed up on the bands?? 3 weeks later I'm finally getting around to opening it. On some of sideshows pics it looks like there are marks on it, but others don't...

I will try to get a better pic later... you can kinda see what I mean there though.

What are the chances that a wait list will convert for this piece? I'm not sure if I should put my self on the wait list or not and just try and find a decent price on ebay Also are you charged the deposit fee for a waitlist item? I've never done it before so i'm not sure thanks!

Duck, you may be able to secure an "International Version" cheaper than buying on ebay. Sideshow had 500 as a Domestic Exclusive and a larger run for the international market (1500 - I think...) and they did open an offer out to US customers to buy an international version. They are only different in the little stamp on the bottom of the base, but otherwise appear to be identical. You can try to contact Sideshow directly to see if that offer is still open. Good luck!!!
