Who wants this? This is just going to be another one of those sequels that come out 40 years later to try and cash in on the nostalgia of the (now) adults who grew up with Goonies.

And it’ll likely be mediocre at best and not even make all that much money.

Also Goonies isn’t even that good of a movie.

It all comes down to the writing. Who would have thought that a Top Gun sequel 36 years later would be better than the first.

And young kid actors who are now old... Cobra Kai made that work unbelievably well.

I don't have any faith, because those two I mentioned are 0.0001% of good, in pool endless pool of ****... but who knows, the right script might make it work.

If you like Cobra Kai you're capable of liking anything, including Goonies 2 .

With an imdb rating like that, I'm guessing there's an audience that thinks the way it brought back old characters can work (which was all my point was).

I was sucked in by Cobra Kai’s nostalgia fuel early on but when they kept doing the same thing over and over and over I realised it was a one trick pony and deserted that pony.

They actually did do a porn version, it was called … wait for it … The Poonies lol.
