I've ordered Jabba 9with cup) and the Crumb (with extra monsters) set from Sideshow but I ordered the Throne from Forbidden Planet.

I thought the weight of the Throne would give it a massive shipping cost direct from Sideshow. So FP might be the better options.

Ok, here is my official justification for getting the Jabba set. And this is what I am going to keep telling myself.. over and over and over and over until I believe it.

I figure the set with shipping is = to 7 regular 12" figures.

Jabba and the throne count as one figure each so now its 5 extra.

I am getting rid of Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Darth Maul so now I am down to 2 extra.

I'm not going to get Boush Leia (I would have if not for the Jabba Set) so now I am at 1 extra.

And I canceled my wait list for Sith Anakin (Not sure if I would have gotten him anyway so I will count that as 1/2.) So in reality the only extra $ this is costing me is the the price of the Crumb Pack.

Its funny to remember when this line first started and my plans of being a completest... YEAH RIGHT, that idea has now been squashed like a ketchup pack under a bulldozer.

With everything of course!! This was a really awesome looking set. Jabba doesn't look anything like a 12" he really reminds me of a polystone statue type piece.

If I had to choose between 5 figures or Jabba Set, I would choose the 5 figures.

As my mind is still reeling from the weekend, I haven't had a chance to read ALL the threads related to the new Star Wars merch... but did anyone else at SDCC order Bib and Leia in addition to all the Jabba stuff? The kind lady who took my order mentioned that the Bib inclusive would have an additional staff and Leia would have an additional blaster... and then she took my order for all of it. I just wanted to see if this was an anomoly or if I shouldn't worry.

Had a great time, BTW! Nice meeting the Sideshow crew!

I ordered the whole set. I thought I was getting away from larger items (you know - the ones that require the most explanation to the wife). It's just too cool not to get. :monkey1

I just hope that when Sideshow does a Slave Leia, she has two sets of legs that don't have all the joints - one for sitting and one for standing. I think all those joints would not look good on her.

I'm gonna try to Get the Jabba set and any of the 12" SW figures that I'm interested in. I've personally been waiting for these figures since Kenner/Hasbro started making their figures in the mid-90's so I'll be hard pressed to let any of the characters I want slip through my fingers. And as I'm moving and packing right now, I'm starting to take a harder look at my figure collection, and I think a lot of the smaller scale guys are gonna have to go... but its a trade-off I'm comfortable with if it means I can have and display these kickass figures!

But at this point I can't think of any Sideshow figures I'd want to sacrifice, they're all just so damn good!

Hello. New here.
I went the other way around, Jabba from FP, with the exchange rate they are roughly the same price to Swedish Kronor but the freight should be be a better price from FP.
ordered the throne and Crumb from SS. Yes, the freight is gonna be humongous (sp?), but I ordered it on Flexpay, to spread the costs.
Just got me a 12" Luke on E-Bay to go with it, while the prices are still decent. Missed out on that one before.
A question about Forbidden Planet though. Do they always get their alottment so they can fill their orders?

Thanks for the info an the exclusive items for Bib and Leia. I think you are on the safe side. Some of us non attendee's where a bit worried about the fact that the PPO's where already taking place for the attendees. You, know like if there would be enough Exclusive editions left when the actual PPO's would take place. There where different reactions from the SSC web team. One reaction I got was that they (SSC) would see how much they sell of these 2 figures at the Con, and that they would take that number in account to come up with a reasonable edition size. Let's wait and see.

Here's the thread:

Don't know if there's more on this.

The main reason I ordered Jabba and Crumb set from Sideshow was for the inclusive extra. There is not grantee that FP will get these. They might just get the regular editions.

But saying that, the extras wheren't that big! :lol

Are you joking? The Jabba GOBLET is key!

:rotfl

The entire environment, including Leia & Bib, is incredible in person. I just couldn't resist and pre-ordered EVERYTHING!

Personally, I love the goblet. It's only seen once, and no one would notice if he never had it, but seeing it there, I remembered when it was used, and I thought, "How cool is it that anyone noticed that!"

I could probably done without the tiny friign winged rat in the Crumb set, but I'm in for everything else, I might as well go for it.

My real question is "how did they do the liquid in the bowl?"

Also, "will the pipe be removable, so he can grab at his froggy snacks?"

And, "Just how delicate are those rings in the gargoyl mouths and that tube in the pipe?"

i said to myself that i wasn't going to get this but the more i look at it the more i'm really liking it!! *sigh* i have no control..

I wasn't going to order all this but when I saw it I could not resist. The bowl looks so awesome and slimy. I think I went to the Sideshow booth 30 times just to gaze at Jabba and friends.

Well, I pre-purchase the whole set. HOWEVER, I am still waivering on the throne. 200 bucks and it just feels like we are being overcharged. I have learned it is safer to order and cancel later than take a chance. However, if finances are tight... or I just cannot get myself to spend that much, I will probably cancel the throne and pick up Jabba and his little buddies.

P.S. Any chance we will see retailers with the non-inclusive Jabba in the 99.99 range? I really do not care about that cup.

How did Jabba get at those "froggy snacks" anyway? There's no opening.

That's why I asked if the pipe part (head and all) was removable. He grabbed the froggies out of the open bowl.
I'm sort of hoping the liquid in the bowl is actually solid, so I don't have to worry about damaging the poly if I need to fill it.
