As far as I know, the free shipping was only available to Con attendees. It was a little bounus thank-you in addition to being able to order everything before non-attendees.

I still haven't opened him yet, but when I do I'll try to post some pics and possibley change my avatar again (so soon huh?). He does look great though. I can happily say the lips are just fine this time around.

Man I remember the trouble it took me get the original Kenner Jabba as a kid. Its funny even then I remember being surprised that he was even made in the 3 inch figure scale. The ONE time I saw him in a store I had absolutely no birthday, Christmas, or allowance money to get him. I scrounged allowance for what felt like months (hey it might have been) and then had to wait another eternity for him to arrive after ordering from a Sears catalog (remember those?) But ah, it was worth it.

I remember getting the Jabba playset and Rancor and just loving the crap out both! They were the sh*t as far as I was concerned... although I was a bit sad that I couldn't fit the Rancor in the pit.

Also, a funny Rancor aside. About 5 years ago I was retrieving toys from my home and when I went to test the Rancor's Jaws they didn't work... upon further inspection I found the endor Leia lodged in his throat

I have to pay 8% sales tax on everything I buy from Sideshow. Now I realize that I am in the minority. Sideshow should give a break on shipping costs for Californians since we live so close. I know Fedex charges less for shipping in the same state, but Sideshow charges the same amount for anywhere in the country.

I am in So CA too, and just about every item that ships to me has a lower shipping rate than original quoted, you may want to check your final invoices again. Also, if you are like me you get an "invoice updated" email, that usually notes that the price is lower than your original order quote.

My total looks to be $383.90 to Michigan... although I'm moving so that may change. Does anyone know if there is a way to combine the shipping costs, I just totaled up all three items, but I imagine it would be cheaper if they all could come in the same box...

For everything, delivered all the way to Santa Monica from SS (about 20 miles) comes to $411.... shipping and TAX are a big bone!
