Although I grew up in the U.S., I was 17 miles south of the Canadian border. These two gentlemen were my biggest role models as I was growing up. I will always have a special place in my heart for them.

oh come here ya big lug......:1-1:

He would be left alone in Ohio.

If he lived in a community and was taking poops in his backyard, then maybe I can see where someone would have issue, but living on 36 acres out in the boonies, no one should care.

Probably some bid developer (or banker or big wig) wants his property and they're doing all they can to get it.

always two sides to a story. they really should just let the guy alone until he dies. doesn't have long to go.

Jesus. America gets more fascist every day. Next thing you know, we'll be forced to pay for people's free healthcare and jobs, just like those fascist bullies up north.

We've been doing that for a long time already!

That really sucks. Public sanitation laws are important if you live in a reasonably densely populated area where people don't know how to keep their ____ out of other folks' yards. But this guy clearly is out in the middle of nowhere, hurting no one. Laws should be sensible enough not to hurt people who aren't violating their spirit. But sadly, that's not how things are done oftentimes.

Well, we actually already do that through CHIP, Medicaid, Medicare, and jacked up hospital rates we all pay to cover free loaders. But anyhow. . .

just leave the guy alone and let him die in peaceful loneliness void of all human contact and normal hygiene. I really doubt anyone is that concerned about his wellbeing. I am betting people just hate driving past his crap everyday. Also, they probably know when the guy kicks the bucket he has no one that will come and clear it all up.

If it's all the same to you, I'd rather pump up the jam.

I assumed you were railing against the Affordable Care Act. I can only assume you are not a supporter, and figure the whole "socialist" thing is gonna get worse :huh

I'm railing against all of it, but mostly countries that are already deeper in the ____, thinking they're superior because we haven't progressed as deeply as them.

I didn't realize you were being sympathetic. :1-1:

I don't like paying for other people's ____. :wave But then, I don't like the idea of forcing poor pregnant women into the streets to have babies, or of leaving old people to get sick and die early because no insurance company will cover them. I'm torn :gah:

As for the Canadians. Everyone thinks their superior to everyone else, of course. But when the Canadians think that, they are wrong :lol

i hate paying for people's ____ too. i'm starting to realise however that the alternative is civil war. people used to getting everything for free will not accept being cut out. just watch europe and all the riots.

Wouldn't it be force to demand insurance companies cover people they don't want to? Or to demand landlords house women who don't pay their rent?

If this guy is a public health threat, I can see justification for the eviction. If his property is just a smelly eyesore, then evicting him would be an initiation of force, and they have no right.

As for civil war, yeah, I can see the beggars rebelling. (Isn't that the idea behind Marxism? He was a much better revolutionary than he was an economist or historian.) They still don't have the moral high ground.

I think we can take the leaches...bring 'em on.
