I think if he nixed all the 14 syllable words and lost 25 of the 36 adjectives per sentence, his novels would be harder to put down. Instead, it always seems like I'm being punished, having to force myself into the middle. Once the ball gets rolling, it's fantastic, like you're actually reading a Star Wars movie but getting there is like bamboo chutes under the fingernails.

Have to agree. In the first book, I got REALLY sick of the word 'encrypt' and "encrypt code"

Kinda like the name Kuat in the Bounty hunter wars books(the first book was good, but the second was a bridge book, and book 3 sucked.)

It's funny how quickly people forget that Lucas was just biding time before starting the prequels, waiting for special effects to reach a level where he could get his vision across. Zahn's novels were a great bridge for SW fans and they also helped show Lucas that interest was still there, but not what set off the films.

Well there was always the rumor it had something to do with his divorce. He had to wait a certain ammount of time to do another star wars or he had to pay her so much $$. Don't know if that was ever true.

i got my EMAIL!!!
Thrawn and command chair will be here Jan 5th AUS time!!!!!!
will DEFINATELY post pics when he arrives!!!!!

I liked the Zahn books okay, but does no one else think the Force blocking snakes are about on the same level as midichlorians?

I like the idea of the Ysalamiri. The fact that something exists that is Anti-Force is cool. They weren't born with it, it was something they learned. They can hunt with the Force and block it, if wookiepedia serves.

It's just evolution.

Those are the best two things in the Star Wars cannon!!!

Just kidding!! I thought the Midichlorians where a stupid and lazy idea. I think he came up with them so he wouldn't have to try to explain Anakins father and it also dimistified the whole idea of the Force.

I don't mind the Yasalmiri though! Its also a pretty cool acessory for Thrawn. I wish they could be used to block Georges bad ideas.

But the only problem I have with it is that the Jedi become incompetent with it. Even the greatest samurai could still kick your ass if he lost his sword.

I highly doubt it. Usually the court would just grant her alimony based on Lucas' income. I don't see them giving her points in upcoming features she has nothing to do with.

GAT and his command chair arrived at my house about 15 minutes ago.

very cool piece. And the Blue Prometheus manequinn truly makes me long for a female version of it for a swap on Aayla Secura.

Edit - Here is a picture.

Sure...give me a minute to get measurements.

How does the the cardboard box it was delivered in look like?

Just a huge box or does it possess a viewing window like the ones just containing a figure?

Brown shipping box...inside is a regular figure box with Thrawn and a solid white box with the chair inside of it encased in styrofoam. I'll pic that as well.

Or is it like other Ex's with environments; a standard boxed figure and a big plain, white box containing the Chair?

Thanks for the info - can't wait for more pics.*g

I would be very thankful if you could give me the measurements of the chair - especially the diameter.

So I know if it fits into my display cabinet.

I edited the pictures and dimensions into my last post.

Edit - I didn't realize how crooked my pictures were.
