Thanks guys! I'm not sure if I'll be able to open him though once he arrives. My wife is actually buying it for me as a birthday present which technically isn't until March 12th. I told her how fast ol' Greenie is selling out and she told me to jump on the waitlist now instead of waiting for a deal around that time....the question is now that he is converting will she make me wait until March......

:lol She probably won't since she let you get away with ordering him now. Just don't be like a little kid who got an early present then complains about getting nothing on his actual birthday.

:lol :lol :lol

Maybe I'll try to sneak in a small coffee table or something for my b-day instead to house this beast!

Congrats Jedi Mike! My fiancee is getting mine for my birthday, which is on the 12th of next month.

The wait list is converted and I am just waiting for the green guy to get shipped out. She's already paid for it. :chew

Mine Hulk Waitlist is in queue to convert! on the 28th it'll be active which means Hulk will probably arrive next week!!! :rock

Holy frak, mine did, too! Now I just have to figure out how to get it past the wife. My birthday is coming up next month as well, so maybe I can talk her into buying this as my present even though I told her I was done with statues. :monkey3

does anyone see how paint could come off of one of his knees in shipment? I can't see the foam rubbing it off.

Not to start any bashing but 4 accounts is a bit much. to have 4 accounts one would have to have 4 different credit cards with different names and shipping addresses. I cry not fair but I guess more power to him. Word.

yup, 4 different accounts under 4 different credit cards. it's very easy to do actually.. for me at least. the other 3 belong to two co-workers and 1 from a good friend from out of state. i have their trust to use them just as long as i pay them for the item(s) ordered. i also pay them a little extra for letting me use their account.

ever since missing out on the Grey Hulk VS Spidey diorama i had to think of ways to get the upper hand on exclusives like this. i eventually bought the grey hulk dio at more than cost anyway from a good retailer which is fine since i was grateful to get one at a "reasonable" price to me but of course i'd rather not if i could help it. on a related note.. i was offered from a fellow statueforum member his 2nd unopened grey hulk/spidey dio for what he paid for it! i was quite impressed from his generosity and will always remember his kind gesture. i was tempted to buy it but i had already bought one even though it hadn't shipped to me yet at the time. i would have saved lots of $$$ but i decided that he could make more from it than selling it at cost to me. that sort of inspired me to give back. besides, i find it fun and rewarding helping a collector out who really wants something. if i can i'll help them get that exclusive. whatever they do with it whether they scalp it on ebay or keep it in their collection to cherish is totally up to them. i've never asked for anything in return. to be honest.. too honest actually. :D the thrill of trying to obtain rare pieces gives me a satisfying "rush"! LOL. yeah, i'm weird like that!

so how did i manage to snag 4 of the grey PF hulks that day? well, you already know i had 4 separate accounts. my company's fast internet access was definitely a big advantage as well. i'll also add that i was logged on to all 4 accounts at the same time on 4 different computers being viewed on just one display. i can get into details on how i did that if you're interested. :)

i've read that what i'm doing is cheating or taking away from another collector's chance at getting it. yes, no... maybe but collector's have been faced with a "problem". i see it as a challenge. through ingenuity as an attempt to find a solution or advantage is how i prefer to see it.

doesn't it cost u a buttload for shipping by using the other accounts? like the out of state friend. i mean, all the pieces have to be shipped to your friends addresses right?

i'm guessing the other people u got them for pay for any xtra shipping incurred too, so that makes sense. pretty durn cool of ya P1X!! glad to see some people helpin out fellow collectors. i'm happy w/ my Big Green for now lol.

it's not like i do this type of thing often. 3 of the 4 accounts ship to where we all work at.

i thought it was one per address, is it different for work addresses?

i suppose that's a loophole. :D

how can that be enforced anyway? i know lots of employees at my company who buy direct from sideshow and have their items shipped to work.

that's the catch. they have to pay for shipping to them. i think it's only fair. either that or they can go the ebay route. :D

I guess they don't enforce the work ones...but then how do they know it's a house or business....?

I don't know exactly why it wasn't caught sooner, but I wound up with two Pippin statues. During the frenzy to order this (boy isn't hindsight 20/20 on this one :google) I ordered via the phone and internet.

Flipper. :monkey3

I remember the hell that was ordering Pippin and the Gondorian helms.

This piece is just AWSOME!!!!

I thought about selling my PF Lurtz that I just won from Fireside so I could have some cash to put on this. Even had it on ebay but I could not bring myself to sell due to the fact that I have never really won anything before. So I ended the item early.

I am going to have to figure out some other "get rich quick" scheme.
