Well its a family vacation and I'm not going to ruin it by making us run around trying to find a comic shop. If I see one, I'll stop in. But my real LCS heavily carries Blackest Night stuff so I don't think I should have a problem getting next week's issues when I get back. I had to do the same thing when I got back from SDCC :lol A comic convention and I didn't even see them there!

There is an awesome BL replica being sold at an overseas retailer "AllNeedFulthings".

The lines along the band aren't accurate (that we know) but its closed back which means it solid and my favorite part its the correct size.

Here is a member from the Green Lantern Corps message board with one:

$70 before shipping which ran about $15 to California.

Actually my wife just did. I forwarded her the link right before I posted here and she emailed back that she bought one in my size. :rock

Shipping is 2 weeks from what I hear on the GL boards so I'll post back when I actually have it in hand.

What a thoughtful Wife you have there:chew

Where can I subscribe and get the blackest night comic in the mail each month?? I don't really have a LCS close by to go pick one up each month and I would like to read these...How far into the series are they already? Would I be to lost starting now?

Midtown Comics is pretty good. They require 10 titles though so you'd have to go further than Blackest Night.

I do not think it is to late to catch up---go back and read through some of these posts---they have helped me get caught up on the backstories

okay, y'all! I'm not a DC fan at all but I "accidentally" picked up a comic book about this cross-over thingy and got fascinated by the Corps...In other words, I'm hooked!:doh......so tell me, where do I begin?

Depends. If you are just interested in Blackest Night you just have to go back a bit before the beginning "Blackest Night #0" to get the gist. If you really want to be emerced and understand it then you have get your hands on Green Lantern: Rebirth read basically read through 40+ issues that span through the Sinestro Corps War. GL:R is part one, SCW is part two and Blackest Night is part three.
