Depends. Studies show that the need to have physicality to a task is to induce the memories associated with said task. For example, people who like to garden love the simple gestures of pruning flowers and while there are machines and tools that make it easier and faster, they choose to remain "old school" because the simple act of using sheers helps enduce the feeling of happiness they gain for it. I would imagine that people who are tied to print media of anything and want the physical magazine or comic probably have good feelings tied to reading them, collecting them, etc. I don't have any tie to the physical book just the stories themselves which is probably why I don't mind but I'm sure those who remember the joy and love of reading the books as a kid or teenager use the physical presence of the book to assist in that.

Wow that is deep---and true--there is a connection for me to handle a book rather than read online.

For me its just being able to read a comic/book better in my hands than on a screen. There's all of the scrolling and zooming in and out to deal with on a computer. I mean, I wouldn't turn down free online comics or anything like that, but if I'm buying them, I want to be able to have them forever in my hot little hands.

New issues tomorrow by the way!

GL Corp #42
Booster Gold #26
REBELS #10

That should be like another 2 rings right? Anyknow know which ones exactly? Doesn't matter in the long run since I want them all (the Agent Orange in me) so I can look like the Mandarin. :lol

Got my comics and rings today. Unfortunately I didn't notice my Indigo ring had a molding mark on the outer face of the ring until after I opened it. Its a small error, but it is there. But now I'm half way there! Just need Green, Blue, Red, and "Violet."

Wow! Today's issues were great. The Booster Gold issue was quite good with Dead Ted coming back. I'd don't know a thing about REBELS but that was another good one. Brainiac 2 now a Sinestro?

And the new Green Lantern Corp issue was really good! The Black Lanterns attacking the green power battery. Indigo 2 helping out, releasing Vice the Red Lantern, and
Kyle getting blown up by an Alpha battery and dying!

Fans are going ape???? over that last revelation. Although Guy going Red makes sense now.

Yeah it does. Especially with that newly loosed Red ring floating around Oa. But I'm glad they are shaking things up a bit. I always hate this mega events when nothing really drastic happens. If nothing drastic happens it makes the whole event seem a bit pointless. Just another day for the heroes.

Just picked up a few BN comics along with 3 rings. Yellow, Orange and Blue. Were there any other colors released or just those 3? Because the owner had sold out of one of the issues that comes with a ring, but he had extra rings and just gave it to me.

:lecture Ditto.

This DC event is delivering the goods so far!

Sonuva... that's what I get for reading the spoilers and assuming this was just a back door for Johns to bring dead 'status quo' characters back. I'm hoping
that if the Hawks, J'onn and Arthur come back, they'll bring back Kyle as well...
I'm not so much peeved that I've been spoiled but who they killed... seems like a waste to keep him around after Rebirth just to kill him now...

They released a Black Lantern ring with Blackest Night #1 4 months ago. These new rings just started last week with the Yellow ring. This week was Orange and Indigo (its a bluish purple color).

Thanks, yeah I got the black one from ebay a while back. Some reason I thought the red ring was also released.

Fans have been complaining that Johns has been slowly killing of Kyle as a character since he took over the GL books anyway. He undid the whole "Torchbearer" and Last of the Green Lanterns with the reestablishment of OA and the Guardians via the ION entity, then stripped the ION entity from Kyle giving it to Sodam Yat, a character he found in the histories of DC, then eliminating him as an Earth GL even though the order should have been Kyle, John, Guy so that when Hal was reborn Kyle would have been GL Sector 2814.2 not John. Then in the OA Honor Guard they continued to downgrade his importance. One fan referred to Kyle's treatment as a slow castration. So his death isn't shocking but it does leave a bad taste in the mouths of Kyle fans because it isn't a full on sacrifice with that being the highlight but it feels like a means to an end as a plot device to get Guy red. Also that he went from this unique almost spiritual Green Lantern to fourth banana.

That is the big complaint.

I completely agree with this sentiment. I've always liked Kyle, and it's been a damn shame to see what became of his GL career. Although to be completely honest I knew it was only a matter of time before they offed him as soon as I heard Hal was coming back years ago. I would have rather seen Kyle go out way earlier than he did, it seems like a shame to keep him around so long just to kill him now.
