Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Offical License Announcment

It was a good not great movie.and Blake Lively is someone I had never heard of before.lol Wow! Couldn't say that in front of the GF through.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Offical License Announcment

The fact that Tomar-Re and Kilowog would need specialized bodies pretty much cancels them out for the HT treatment. Although I'd love a Hector with glowing eyes.

Hector would be an amazing sculpt. Not the coolest character from the movie, but he would be an amazing figure because of the headsculpt. Heck, with HT's love for chairs, he might even come with the wheelchair :lol

In all seriousness though, I think Hal and Sinestro are really all we can expect from this line. If we are REALLY lucky, we could get a variant of one of them :monkey3

Why is everybody tiptoeing around Sinestro becoming a Yellow Lantern? Even the casual comic book geek knows it's inevitable anyway given he's the main antagonist in the GL series, let alone those dedicated enough to spend $180+ on a HotToys figure from the movie.

I could see us also getting an Abin Sur.

Because some people might want to see it in the movie without already knowing what's going to happen?

I liked the movie and hope to get a glowing suit version. Oh and I'd like a masked and unmasked Hal so I can make a custom Van Wilder :nana:

Exactly. As with most comic book films, we have an idea of a character's evolution, but not exactly when those steps will happen in the films. Heck, Dr. Connors never turned into the Lizard in Raimi's 3 films, even though he was mentioned clear back in the first one.

Course a lot of people don't stay through the credits anymore so it still might be a spoiler for some that even saw the film :lol

And to be completely honest, if we were only to get one version of Sinestro, I'd prefer the yellow outfit.

No matter what, I'm sure we'll get that for the sequel.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Just saw the film....

Only Hal Jordan for me. Not sure we'll get anybody else.

If they make a Carol Ferris I will gladly buy her for my girlfriend. Blake Lively looked amazing in the film.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Is that the Nam Special Edition one? LOL

Could be! Kirby fat suit, bit of sculpy on the chin and some black duds. Though the perm will be a little hard to come by. Maybe I'll shave Flosi's ass hair and plug it in. Hell, maybe I can cast it, add the ass hair to all the heads and make $1k a sculpt! :yess:

Gotta remember that excuse. :wink1: :lol

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

The movie wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be based on early word and reviews. It was pretty enjoyable. The one thing that really stood out to me as bad was the music. When Tomar-Re and Jordan are taking their first flight through Oa I felt like I was watching a documentary on African cats or something . . . something involving animals running through the plains.

I really liked the costume design a lot better than I thought I would. The mask is still iffy, but the rest was pretty cool. Definitely a lot more excited for this figure since seeing the movie.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Good to hear some positive reviews.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Basically all of the negative reviews come from people that just don't get it. Critics love films that make you think, but heaven forbid they actually pay attention during a summer blockbuster film! :lol

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

"professional" film critics play to the middle and to parent companies or advertisers.

Screw them, I make my own opinions.

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Hoping to see the film this weekend, is it worth seeing in 3D or should i just see it in 2D? Will definitely be picking up the Hot Toys version regardless of how good the film is tho!

Re: Hot Toys Green Lantern - Official License Announcement

Hot Toys should just drop the Green Lantern and focus on more Iron Man and Pirates of the Caribbean figures.
