Can they just...not do this anymore...put the brakes on it and do something from a movie that didn't bomb? Hell, how 'bout a comic-style Hal?

If they were not going to do it then they would have never announced it. I don't really understand the hatred for the look, it was innovative and different and looked fantastic on-screen. Hopefully we'll have the SSC Comic Hal right next to the HT Film Hal by the end of next year.

Well Warner Bros says THERE WILL be a GL sequel, soooo it's a matter if Ryan will play Hal or another actor?

Link? So far they've said maybe, possibly, but never said a definitive yes as far as I've read...I want a sequel, with the same cast mind you, but if they change Hal they might as well hold off for a few years and reboot it. GL has never been on screen before this and doesn't have the legs to pull a James Bond and still endure.

Sideshow will be doing those, with HT's help.

That to me is the biggest announcement from SDCC. A new 1:6 license from SSC is astonishing as everyone was seeing writing on the wall indicating they were moving out of this. If those figures are good I can see them easily overtaking Star Wars for the highest 1:6 moneymaker and opening up the gates for matching Marvel figures.

I hope green lantern happen. I hope they also make the Flash movie. Then we could built our JLA to fight the Avengers.

The Flash IS happening. They are already scripting and scouting directors. The thing is that we won't see The Flash on screen until 2014 at the earliest.

I know some, not all, of the leakage problems were caused by people handling the figures and the oils from their skin...I know that was a huge marker of the Iron Man figure issues that people who hadn't really handled their figures didn't see the issue.

Nothing whatsoever do do with skin oils. It's caused from HT's inability to bullseye the curing time for the rubber. The new process they're using (I'm not going through the leaky DX thread to find the name for it ) is very specific and too little or too much time causes the compounds to separate. That's why you see the oil and later the sludge. The items are literally decomposing.

Its hard to really say because the leaky Batman DX was only from a selected group (correct me if I'm wrong), but some rubbers may deteriorate based on the conditions they are kept in...overly hot rooms, kept in direct sunlight, not in display cabinets so dust attacks them, etc. I haven't had any problems with my rubber figures and I don't plan on having any, but sometimes these things are inevitable.

You're wrong.

The suit itself is separating molecularly. Same thing's happening to Comedian. HT didn't let the rubber used for the suits cure long enough. It's got nothing to do with sunlight, dust, etc. They're rotting even NIB.

Hot Toys is the only company that's having this issue. I have a Creature From the Black Lagoon with a rubber suit over a Buck body Sideshow made almost a decade ago and it's as good as it was when I took it out of the box. I doubt DCD figures will have these issues either. At the moment, we're all wondering the same thing about Thor, this new Batman and any other figure with a rubber suit, belt, accessories that's come out of a HT factory since the Comedian.

I might actually use that one.
