What does this mean? That the DCU is heading for the multilayered character move like Marvel. Bad news? Bats and Supes are in that original planning according to bloggers. The original JLA didn't include either of these heroes.

The first appearance of the Justice League in Brave and the Bold 28 included Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter.

With Aquaman, The Flash, Wonder Woman all in various forms of preproduction, its believed that when Geoff Johns was eluding to a JLA film that this is the roster they'll go with to avoid screwing with Nolan's Batman and his upcoming Superman venture. Its also believe that Manhunter would be given the Hawkeye treatment and announced in the actual film with the other members given their own leading films.

If you look at it in this light it makes more sense, obviously WB has no comment on the situation but who knows at this point. It gets WB their multiverse without pissing off Nolan and still sticking to Comic roots.....I guess time will tell....

I love this idea. Bats and Supes can stay in their own universe.

What Blake Lively thinks of possibly playing Star Sapphire in a sequel and getting into that outfit? Her thoughts on possible action/fight sequences vs Hal?


What drew Mark Strong to play Sinestro? And be sure to thank him for keeping the look of the character more in tack.

The possibilities of an Green Lantern Corps vs Sinestro Corps vs Star Sapphires battle in a sequel? Will we see Qward? Any idea if this will be in Imax? Is the 3D being added in post production?


To the man himself, Ryan Reynolds: For someone who hadn't really followed GL to now portraying perhaps the most beloved human GL, what has him most intrigued for possibly playing this character for years to come? Is he worried of becoming typecast with superheroes? Anything new on the Deadpool movie and his thoughts of Robert Rodriguez possibly directing?

Will Hal's costume have a progression from the first shot to the final like we saw with his Silver Age progressing to Bronze progressing to Modern?

Will the other Green Lanterns have unique costuming or for the first one will we see all of them in the basic uniform like in Emerald Dawn?

I have a feeling a Sinestro Corps war will be REALLY hard to pull off on as grand a scale as in the comics. If we do see Sinestro corps war it will be very abreviated and underdone. Not sure if I want that actually.

No pics are allowed on set, which is the norm and what I expected. But they did put me on the list for official PR releases, including photos.

It's hot as balls here already (and it's just after 9 AM here). The cast & crew are definitely busting ass on this thing, just like "The Walking Dead" set in Atlanta. It's pure muggy sauna.

Back home. Can't talk about what I saw filmed (NDAs and such) and there's an embargo on publishing the interviews, but I can answer some of your questions...

Some of that will indeed be worked into the film franchise somehow. No further details can be shared at this point.

She is amazing. Looks even better in person, which I knew from SDCC. But sitting 2 feet away from her... wow. And folks shouldn't be concerned about her being Carol Farris, either. She's got some acting chops.

She's quite excited about all of that and it sounds like that's the plan.

I can't quote him just yet (embargo), but in a nutshell he likes that Sinestro isn't a one-dimensional villain and was drawn to the fact that he starts as a mentor to Hal. Geoff Johns seems to really have his ear in regards to the character.

Re: The Corps stuff, and specific characters... I got a lot of "wait and see" with winks, FWIW.

IMAX: Yes, there will be a release in the format. It's not being shot with IMAX cameras, though.

3D: Post-conversion ( ) But they were aware that was the plan before shooting, so a lot of the camera work was adjusted accordingly. It won't be true stereoscopic 3D, but it shouldn't be crappy like "Clash of The Titans", either. Let's hope anyway. I think I'll see it in 2D, personally.

He's extremely pumped to be playing Hal/GL and is taking a lot of pride in it. He also seems to be genuinely energized by the response at SDCC and his experience there. I (and others) did ask about DEADPOOL, but he's 100% focused on GL right now. Not even on his brain radar at the moment.

According to Campbell, they're going to focus on the costume stuff (including any progressions) in post-production. Sounds like a lot of that is still being decided. DC and Johns are fully involved, too.

Kind of the same answer. But I did see designs for several other Lanterns and while there was a little variation in the designs they all looked to be in the same scope as the Hal and Sinestro costume designs we've seen so far. But, again, it's all a work in progress.

They have big plans for Sinestro in future films should the film be a hit. Without them explicitly stating so, there were strong hints of the Sinestro Corps being featured at some point.
