-WB is hoping for Green Lantern to become the next power franchise to fill the gap that will be left by Harry Potter.

FYI, that is what many different sites are reporting the Lanterns will look like. Its very different than the traditional Lantern, but then again so is the ring with is Silver band. Should be interesting to see what else leaks between now and Harry Potter. They reportedly were cold cast in steel for production meaning that DC Direct could very well just produce it exact and sell it for $350.

Someone checked the Source Code on the official site and found a synopsis that hasn't been made "live' yet.
"GREEN LANTERN - In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan."
Interesting...many feel that in order to establish Parallax and to remove the Emerald Twilight piece (making it impossible for someone down the line to do the Hal goes nut and kills and destroy everything) and overlaying the Fear entity over Legion for the film continuity. Which means if/when they decide to include Kyle they'd have to reinvent his origins. It also means they'd skip over 10 years of GL History and would be able to skip over the whole Rebirth storyline as well leaving them able to jump into the Sinestro Corps War for inspiration if they wanted.

I dunno...it's pretty ____ing great. 100% true to the character, crazy action, all around awesomeness...and they even got every single important character right...I mean they have basicly every single character in the series. I think this might be RR's role. GL as a side project. I'm serious.
