I think the suits look fantastic. Especially Sinestro's. The texture on some of them is awesome. The only thing I hate is the mask, they just can't get it to look right but I do think this beats the hell out of the original trailer and gets everything right back on track. Definitely on par with what we've seen with Cap or Thor.

Damn skippy. I've watched the trailer 5x now, and I'm really psyched about this movie now.

I have a feeling this is going to push me over the edge into reading Green Lantern. It's something I've been interested in but starting a new comic is always a bit daunting with all the back story, it is difficult to know where to start and what is going on.

One thing I found interesting is that they added in what I like to call the "Tobey Clause" naturally into the film. The mention that the mask will only appear if Hal's identity needs to be hidden or shielded. Which means, on Earth: masked Hal. Off planet: Ryan Reynolds unobscured and unhidden face no problem. Since reports are that 80% of the film are off planet that means they've essentially taken care of "ripping off the Spider-Man mask".

Definitely an improvement.
I still feel like the humor falls flat but a lot of that depends on how much good will the movie builds up before Reynolds starts doing his schtick.

As someone who doesn't care for Green Lantern or Ryan Reynolds, this trailer looked fantastic and absolutely makes me want to see the movie now. So that may be a good indication of how the public at large may view it.

However I couldn't help but feel that it has a bit of a "Spider-Man 3" vibe. Cocky guy gets alien suit and battles a big sprawling CG Sandman type dude in the city. Hopefully the climax is much, much more than that. The first half of the trailer gave me chills. Looks like it could be quite spectacular.

Agreed. I wish this would've been the first trailer of GL. Had a definite serious tone to it in contrast to the first one with him running around with his shirt off.
