It definitely shouldn't have a problem with "Mr. Popper's Penguins," so that's one less movie it doesn't have to worry about.

Me too. I expected they were going to do what they did with his character (ie. keeping him on a back-burning and hinting at what could be,) but it didn't make it any easier.

I kept thinking, "He's no good. HE'S NO GOOD!!"

Ah. I stopped ready the critics reviews half the time because we're never on the same page.

Movies I think suck, they love. And vice versa. I pretty much judge everything on the trailer (which sounds bad, but true,) unless it's a "grandfathered in" must-see like X-Men: First Class or something like that.

I agree with Mike. But I personally liked Thor better. But this one was still pretty damn cool.

I enjoyed the action, and editing. Martin Campbell knows how to do brutal.

Just got home from the theater. I loved it!

I'm much too tired to string together an intelligent review at the moment, but allow me to say that I'm a little unsure what the critics were carrying on about. It wasn't a great film, but it was damn good, lots of fun, and genuinely moving at times. I personally was reminded of the original Superman repeatedly throughout the film, and that is a very good thing.
Read The Mike's review, save for one or two points, he shares my exact thoughts on this flick.

Do yourself a favor and see this film. Judge for yourself. I'm very glad that I did.

Sounds like this is more "Watchmen" than "Wolverine" as far as the bad the reviews are concerned. Meaning, the critics hate it, but Freaks will probably love it.
