And the line for Halo 3 took some people 3 hours to get there copy because there were so many people in line at that store, which is one of the closest ones to the UC Berkeley campus.

3 HOURS!?!?!?! That is retarded, my Gamestop was in and out for people (and there was well over 200 people. They made everyone pay off Halo before the midnight release, that way all you had to do was get in line and just walk in the store and show you paid receipt (it was a special one to prevent fraud) and you were out. The line was constantly moving and whether you got there after midnight or not it took no more than 15 minutes. I hope my GS does that for GTA IV.

No, they did the same thing. Everyone paid and got a ticket in advance for whatever version you bought and then you just went into the store about 20 or so at a time and picked your up.

Except this Gamestop is literally right across the street from a campus with about 33,000 kids in it, most of whom are extremely smart and nerdy like me. And alot of them wanted to play Halo 3 just like the rest of us.

I'm probably not going to preorder. Next week is the week of finals and I'll be going home that Wednesday so that would be awkward. Plus I'm kind of tight on money.

If I get the money I'll buy the game later. Since I'm sure it'll be well stocked in stores.

Another review has just made itself known to my email inbox. Jack Rosberg sent along some (very small) images of a new review of GTA IV from the USA's Official Xbox Magazine.

They awarded the game 9.5 out of 10 for its "wonderful environment", "deep multiplayer" and for offering over 90 missions in single player. They say that multiplayer includes a 'Party Mode' where you're free to switch among gametypes with friends without having the game disconnect or split players up.

They say that you'll also be able to progress through eleven different ranks online and that it's possible to call the other team using the game cell phone during multiplayer. The only problem which the magazine feels the game has is that it has too many "filler missions" which don't develop the story at all.

NICE!!! Most of the EU gaming mags that have reviewed it already gave it a 10/10, so that's no surpirse. I guess we'll see sometime this week what IGN and the other big names here in the states give it. I'm looking forward to the Gamepro and EGM reviews as well.

Like idea of phoning your opposing gang just seconds before you run them over or arrange a turf war

muhahaha

1 WEEK TO GO ABOUT.

"When you have that feeling, and you are standing on top of a skyscraper with the world sprawled out beneath you and you know you can climb down and visit every inch that you can see and that it will all feel as vibrant, varied and detailed as the area you are in, I think that's pretty special."

You'd better be able to!!

That was a drinking game we used to play on GTA:SA. If you jumped off that big sky scrapper and deployed a chute, you had to enter the code for another and then deploy your chute again before hitting the ground. If you didn't, you took a shot, if you did, you could give a shot to another person. GTA:SA became such an awesome drinking game!!
