Really thinking about picking this up. Never really liked the other GTA's but the multi player has me contemplating

So far I love the story mode. The multiplayer is fun, but I don't see the multiplayer having a lot of staying power. It seems like one of those things that would be a blast for a month and then may get kind of boring......just my opinion, but it is fun so far.

the writing in the single players is better (IMO) than most Hollywood fare.
Goto the cell phone and hit multi-player.But don't bother the servers are down(for ps3) and nobody can get online right now.

Doesn't want to get flamed so I will tread lightly. If you are not a fan of past GTA games there is not much here for you. Although multi player is fun when there is people in cars and such. However, this is still no GOW in my opinion. Why IGN gave it a perfect is beyond me. I had a blast though playing multi with the freaks. I just don't know how much longer it will be fun.

I do like the game, but I think the story mode is better than the multi and I could see the multi getting a little stale after a while.

Glad I am not alone. LOL! I still don't see a 10 out of 10 game. Although it is fun. Me and sandbox games are not a good combination for some reason I can't put my finger on it.

I think that one thing about the multiplayer that kinda gets old is that the maps are SO huge. For a 10 minute game, I'll maybe be running around for like 5 minutes.
You're obviously a far different kind of gamer than i. I agree that if you don't care for the last ones that you won't really have much new here. I have had a blast just listening to the talk radio and exploring the city and interacting with the peds. GTA is all about the "experience" And while multi-player is cool it comes last in the GTA world. I mean i still go back play VC once in a while, It's just the world they create that i love so much. I also agree with mchavyck The story so far is great.
If you're just a GOW 1st person shooter kinda gamer i can understand how you don't understand the review

honestly, i agree with the 10 out of 10. i hvae played most of the GTA games and this story is the only one that really got me hooked.
and the MP is just sick. i had so much playing team deathmatch tonight with the Freaks.

That was freaking great. Nobody followed the track and were just driving around....cool s^^t. I do like it that even with the team games, you can hear everybody talking; or was that just a setting?
