I will make finding that my weekend mission!
Same goes for Guardians of the Galaxy--Quill's mom dies, Drax's family is killed, Rocket is a lab rat, Gamora was heavily traumatized, but the result isn't a sad bastard movie like Man of Steel. Same goes for lots of Spidey, Justice League, X-Men, Teen Titans, Fantastic Four, etc. comics over the years. And can go for movies obviously. The "essence" of many comics is escapist fantasy. You need conflict of some kind for almost any decent story, but it doesn't have to be "grounded and realistic." Alan Moore's works are a great example of the real range you see in comics, going from Watchmen, V, and Killing Joke on one end of the spectrum, to Supreme and Tom Strong on the other. It's all there with the funny books. But I'm sure you know that, having a collection of all those European comics and whatnot. The vast majority of superhero comics are grounded in conflict with dark overtones, just as I said before.
The true comedic ones such as those you mentioned are very much the minority.
Spider-Man making wisecracks doesn't mean it's a comedic tittle.
In no particular order; his uncle still got murdered, he himself died, got cloned, Gwen died, he thought he went nuts, he became an actual spider ... basically all the stuff that makes superhero lives dramatic.
The same can be said of pretty much every major superhero with or without a team.
Let's not even get started on Batman, Wolverine, the Punisher etc...
Drama, loss and conflict are the very essence of the genre.
Hardly comedy.
You're not wrong about that. As I said in my original review of the movie the dance-off sealed Ronan's fate as a comedic villain who never overcame his pretty generic look and presence. In fact he was just "okay" enough to not bring the movie down. Lightning struck twice for Disney in the POTC movies with Barbossa and Davy Jones somehow keeping their menacing badassedness in the face of Sparrow's antics but not Ronan. On the one hand that's too bad because GOTG will never be a true Raiders or TWS in quality with such a bland villain but I'd say they still hit a very satisfying in the park homerun regardless.
Sorry buddy, I don't swing that way.
Since you just confessed to not being able to express your opinions well I suggest you stay clear of vulgar attacks.
Dance off scene would've definately been more epic had Ronan busted out some moves of his own.
