I feel the same way. I've watched my Guardians Blu Ray 2x now, but I've watched the Winter Soldier 4 or 5 times since I got the Blu Ray. Just the opening sequence on the Lumerian Star is worth repeat viewings. Watching Cap take out all those crew members without breaking a sweat is an amazing scene.

I agree with that sentiment as well. My now go-to Marvel movie, other than the first IM, is Winter Soldier. All of the films are really great, but Winter Soldier is a cool political drama with super heros. It's like if Captain AMerica showed up at House of Cards.

I like the other movies too but this one is so much more special to me

I agree. In fact I found TWS, DOFP, and GOTG all to be quite superior to the Avengers. I'm actually looking forward to every single announced upcoming MCU film more than Age of Ultron, with the exception of Ant-Man. We used to get "filler" movies like IM2 on our way to the first Avengers. Now Avengers has become the filler movie as I wait for the good stuff.

With the infinty war coming, I'm pretty sure that Thanos is going after the infinty gem that the nova corps has. So part two could be about Thanos getting all the gems together.

I hope that Avengers 2 will be far superior to the first one. I really hope it will be an Avengers movie, and not Iron Man and the Avengers. I think Ultron could one of the best parts of this movie. I watched GotG the other night, and I thought it was definetly one of the most humorous Marvel flicks yet. Drax the Destroyer has some rather entertaining lines.

I loved Guardians, it has an amazing opening and I kind of don't get the Winter Soldier comparison. One is a political/action/thriller and the other is a space opera/adventure. I mean, I tried to compare the two but they are just so different. Both movies I feel have been the strongest releases by marvel yet and just get me even more excited for whats to come.

I think Guardians also worked in the sense that I knew nothing about these characters beforehand so it was really refreshing and fun to be given an entirely new marvel experience. It gets me pumped for Black Panther, Ant-man and The Inhumans (characters I have only scratched the surface on in comics) if marvel are going to put this much effort into their films from now on.

Good point Ondi, I suppose the only comparison from my standpoint was which would you prefer if having to order them.

The cosmic genre has been my favorite since I was a kid, ideally I would have preferred a silver surfer movie but this one surprised me a great deal in how much I ended up liking it, every time there was a scene with a celestial I almost cried, lol there is so much to go from here, marvel have been sitting on some of the greatest material in comics history, to me THE greatest material in comic history a drop of it came out and it's one of the best movies yet, what does that say? I don't even know where to begin, of course a galactus appearance would be cool and of of course the heralds...

I am quite curious if they choose to bring in any of the real heavy hitters from the cosmos to battle Thanos; Eternity, Chronos, probably not Galactus though. Living Tribunal maybe. Be quite interesting.

I didnt get that vibe from Avengers, sure he had a lot of screen time(second to cap) but its not like the plot was based around TS/IM. Captain America was the team leader, Black Widow closed the portal, Hulk was the best character, Fury brought the team together. Sure IM shoved the nuke into the portal and fixed the Helicarrier but he's hardly the center of the movie

The portal didn't really matter because Stark caused every Chitauri to drop dead, Cap was only leader because Stark gave him permission, etc. Stark was clearly the head/spokesman of the team. He was the first to engage the alien invasion and the one to save the day at the end. Hell the team even follows his restaurant advice. Avengers was very entertaining but it clearly was Stark's movie.
