Man of Steel still made me feel like I was in middle school again. Where life was a black abyss of hate and sadness. :lol

I saw it this morning and loved every second. It totally brought me back to the afternoons of watching Godzilla movies as a kid. And I personally thought the 3D was very well done and didn't feel like a cheap gimmick.

The Badass Interview: Guillermo del Toro Gets Spoilery On PACIFIC RIM | Badass Digest
Here is the direct link to that del Toro interview where he gets into lot of plot details. It's better to read it on the site as you can distinguish the question and answers properly along with their proper format.

Besides it's always good as an online courtesy to at least post a link back to the source site :), even if one chooses to paste the entire contents of an article/interview elsewhere.

I can honestly say I didn't give a damn about any of the characters in this except for Mako (she's great, especially after her backstory flashback) and very later on Pentacost.

Heck, I was more sad over some of the jaegers getting destroyed than the pilots. :(

Are those "Before" movies really that good? When I heard about what they were, and how they made them, it really seemed intriguing.

Plus, Richard Linklater is a pretty awesome director.
Yeah, all the Before films have been stellar. Saw them all in theater too! :D

Yeah, I think they are real gems. The real deal. I think each one gets better than the next.

Yessir. That is what they said.

Oh, good, so I'm not crazy... well, about that....

^ Guess what, Del Toro showed people hiding in the underground bunkers. Everyone knows what's up.

So.

Yeah, gonna have to give that round to CP. :) I think they covered this very well in the movie, actually.

Yeah. I think that was one of my issues. Mako was really the only character I had any real emotional connection to thanks to the performance and the awesome flashback. I also greatly identified with her need to peep at Raleigh's cut body, too. :lol I thought Charlie H. did a great job with Raleigh, but I didn't really feel what the loss of his brother meant to him enough. Pentacost almost got there, but he was so stuck in curt general mode it made it harder to care as much for me.

One thing I do have to note. The names in this movie are pretty hilarious if you think about it for two seconds. But not necessarily in a bad way. It felt strangely appropriate.

Feeling for one is better than feeling for none.

Totally different reaction for me. I cared little about them.

MOS on the other hand is the best film I've seen this year.

I'm leaning a bit this way too.
MOS at least had epic intro setup, much better score, flashbacks and set ups, some emotional scenes and bonding moments, and ***** to the walls daylight action, no holds barred. And no dumb comic relief.

I actually agree with Solidsnake 100% here!
You guys always tease that he thinks everything is epic, but if this isn't 100% epic for him, you know the movie has issues lol

Now, see, I have a problem with this. Do I have a problem with his opinion? No. If he didn't like it, he didn't like it, but I just can't find his opinions credible anymore, to me, at least. I like Snake, and I appreciate his enthusiasm, and, to be honest, A 7/10 for PR doesn't seem so bad, until you discover that the same guy gives every Bayformers flick a 10 just for existing.

This actually confuses me. I don't know if he's starting to be more critical with these movies, or if he just gives some unfair treatment, and it's hard to take something that uncertain without a grain of salt. At the end of the day, though, it doesn't really matter. I just think that it's a double edged sword, is all.

I like Snake's reviews too, tbh tho I started out watching them as comedy relief, but he does have alot of passion. I think his negative review IM3 vid series was longer than the movie. :lol

He just has a unique perspective to each flick he does.

"I think he's kinda hot."

So I goofed and left right after the credits started. Found out after-the-fact that there was a mid or post-credits scene.

Can someone describe (spoiler-tags if need be) on what the scene was? I checked the youtubes but got nothing thus far and am not sure what I missed out on.
