Well, not the statue. But the character. I don't find her that interesting, and I really think that she would only fit into a collection consisting of a lot of Spider-Man characters already.

I think most people would just see a hot blond. Not Gwen Stacy.

I'm not saying that this piece won't turn out to be a fine piece of sculpting etc. I just doubt that she will be that interesting.

Ah I see what you mean. Character that look normal are always tricky because they have no distinguishing feature. The same could be said about MJ.
We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

I'm looking forward to this one... I can't imagine many people would pay PF prices for her though so I wonder what scale she will come in and what her price point is. There was also art from JSC for Mary Jane (which Sideshow has shown they were working on) so perhaps there is a new line of JSC inspired statues which are a little smaller or something?

I agree. The character is not interesting and if the statue is made it's just a statue of a regular blond chick. Booorrrinnng.

I don't care what most people would think of the statue. I know it's Gwen Stacy and not just a blond. She's important to me as a longtime Spidey fan. This will look great next to the Mary Jane Campbell piece.

I think he meant MARVEL comic fan.

Also, any real MARVEL fan will understand she is Gwen when she is displayed next to the other Spidey related statues.

the raindrops are a nice touch! improves the dynamics of the statue. Otherwise it's just a pretty girl walking down the street...LOL

MJ and Gwen aren't interesting characters imo. Soon they'll b making statues of Aunt May. I see this as a waste of resources.

I wouldn't mind them making this if they had continued the development of the comiquette line of villains but that seems to have come to a screeching halt and all we get are these Barbies.

Long as it's priced at $229 I'm ok with the smaller scales. Looks good to me, like the pose, and the face sculpt from far away looks more true to J. Scott Campbell's style than the MJ one.
