Hi guys well yes, wow hasn't this had a few comments added to it! lol :D
Well yes I am strongly considering taking him out... but then again Im not lol will see what happens...maybe I might grab another one from ebay but not sure yet...
In regards to having so many posts before advertising I must say 'Sorry!' pls excuse my ignorance... thanks to all who have commented on my work... should try and get some more pix up soon
cheers ;)

Just open it. Collecting for value is pointless. You buy them for YOU. Not for selling at some garage sale for 13 bucks.

Just a quick note that he was done while in the box. With minimal moving and removal. I do not want to take mine out of the box because I understand it's standing value over time...

Um... just a clarification... the point of keeping it MIB is to keep it MINT In Box. Destroying the factory paint job has effectively destroyed its standing as MIB. At this point its only "value" is as a kit bash or a repaint or custom.

Great paint job by the way. :D

Well guys The joker is out and doesn't he like it that way!!! The bad boy of toys found his way out and we got some snaps of him...
enjoy

...PM me if you want your repaints!

GREAT! he looks a lot better out of the box, and those pics really show off the repaint a lot better, now don't go putting him back in :lol

Welcome Pamorn, and though Les is pretty busy these days, I'm sure that when he sees this thread he'll have nothing but compliments for you, and a reminder to all that he does...not...do...competitive...art. And does not enjoy comparisons that are intended to slight others.

This whole painting it in the box thing has been fascinating. Everyone is right, once you've broken the seal you might as well go for it, and I'm sure you're already enjoying him more. But the fascinating thing about painting him in the box is the fact that you did it. It's like painting with one hand tied behind your back. Very cool.

I once attended a Bruce Hornsby concert in Washington state. He likes to take requests from the audience. Someone asked him if he could play the intro to "The Way It Is" with his hands reversed. He did. :google

You seem to have done something similar here...

:welcome

PS: You really need to start a new thread, or ask the mods to move this thread, over in the Customs forum...you'll like it there...

I couldn't have said it better. :rock

You did a very great job, and the paint looks like greasepaint, which is a challenge in and of itself. Keep up the good work bro.

Woohoo another one submits to peer presure!!!

Nice pics, your Joker looks great.

As its been mentioned several times already I will transfer this thread to Customs, I'm sure you will like it there, some incredibly talented people.
I'll leave a re-direct on the thread in General for a week so people can still find it and I updated the sticky at the top of General to show the thread has been moved to Customs
Thanks all

Just saw this thread. Sorry about any comparisons, although I am flattered by the remark's intent, I concur with Gruff's statement in that I don't like comparisons in art etc.

So, hey! Welcome in, Pamorn! Great stuff! I am proud to share web space with you!

Since there are like 15 to 20 or more folks here than have/are/will be painting Ledger Jokers before this month/year is out, I say, more the merrier!

HAVE FUN! If anything Ledger's elusively simple makeup, and all variations thereof, are one hell of a fun challenge for anyone, much less we who have painted a long time. How such a simple makeup scheme is so hard for the companies to reproduce, is a testament to just how complex it is. And what mood or scene from the movie you wish to evoke.

Anyway, enough of that.

Great job! And it looks like you had fun doing it. Again, that is what's most important to me. The Devil's in the details, so keep on and you'll find way too many in this one! Keep up the great work.

:rock on!
