Saw this pointed out on social media, Michael carries his wounded left eye from the coat hanger.

That’s a cool detail to have in the movie. I am hoping he is a human and not some unstoppable monster. I also hope they don’t show his face in the movie, I like the shatter mask being his face now.

Based on what was posted about footage a few posts back, there's a chance of seeing his maskless face.

I am all for a new Myers....it could bring a 1/6 Figure finally as this is not related to MA.

Glad to see the continuity of the eye wound....now if they can just figure out how to incorporate the other films into it.....

Will the be just totally ignored?

There may be fanboy nods to other Halloween films, but in terms of story, this new movie picks up from H1 it seems, H2 at the hospital never happens.

What sucks is, by ignoring H2, then you have to come up with some way to write Loomis out of the picture, otherwise he'd surely be the one looking after Michale after the events of the film, though looking at JLC's age, he'd probably be dead of natural causes.

As for merchandise, we'll see what happens but the mask appears to be the Shatner carried on, so if that's the case, Three Zero could do a figure and but for some wear and tear, it'd essentially look like a '78.

I really enjoyed H2, I do agree that the shot eyes effect was poorly handled and unconvincing, but aside from that, had some quality kills and cinematography and more Pleasance as Loomis which was always good, he carried H4-6.

I actually had big hopes for Resurrection because it was the H2 director, but it ended up being like OT George Lucas vs PT George Lucas.

I enjoy certain elements of Carpenter’s H2 obviously JLC and DP and the hospital atmosphere plus the kid with razor blade in mouth is now iconic but overall the movie is a fail.

The movie amped up the gore to remain competitive but I find the kills actually weak compared to other lower budget slashers from that era.

H1 obliterates H2.

I agree about Resurrection I was shocked he dropped the ball like that.

Of course crows likes it lol

I love it as a comedy
I never said i loved it as a real legit horror

Resurrection had an interesting concept for doing something different, it was just poor execution, and who the hell thought Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks as a main part of the cast.

I always looked at the shot in the end of H2 that he didnt hit his eyes....he grazed his head...and it just bled into his eyes..

Maybe they will show him from behind and focus on Curtis or whoever is in the room with him. I would prefer they treat Michael like the recent Dreadd movie by never showing his face. Takes away from his mystique to me and makes him to relatable. I like the fact that he has the scars from the coat hanger to make him vulnerable to being hurt but don't want to feel sympathy for him. I also don't want to think of him as complete trailer trash and abused like the Zombie remake. The shape should not be humanized to the degree that you may have sympathy for it.

Dying to see this trailer. I can't imagine any of what I'm reading coming out good , but I'm highly optimistic and excited

Gotta figure a mass public trailer is coming soon given an October release date, major movies usually get a teaser closer to a year in advance, though I know the film just finished shooting not long ago.

I was watching some interview and promotional footage from H20 the other day. The comments made by Curtis then are virtually the same as they are now with this movie and that was twenty years ago. Time will tell. As far as I'm concerned, Myers' story ended with H2 '81.

We'll see...
