Just completed the campaign on Heroic. Here's my impression right now:

Excellent. Spartans rule!! However, did they really need to kill the entire team off?? I haven't read any of the novels, but they could've left Noble 6 or a couple of the others alive for continued battles. Also, since I haven't read the novels I don't think they explained the significance of Reach in the game. A good story should be complete, without requiring the player to have prior knowledge to keep up with the story. I'm not asking for a detailed explanation, but perhaps just a slight mention or statement that clues the player in.

Also, if not a Halo fanatic, they wouldn't know who Dr. Halsey is or even why she was called Mom by Jorge. It was even strange having someone that's considered a civilian giving the Spartans orders without giving any explanation why she's so important.

IMO the storytelling isn't bad, it's just not entirely complete. I'm sure they're banking on all the players to have played the other games and read the books, but this isn't the case with everyone.

Jun doesn't die in the game, he leaves to escort Halsey. I like the last mission after the credits, and then seeing your objective appear....survive.

Yeah that was crazy There were like six people in the party. The best mode is Head Hunters, I was just standing next to the ring killing anyone who tried to score. Someone had like 8 skulls

ANd racing Banshees was hilarious, there must be someway to get multi-team racing, I'll check menu options later. Also thanks for everyone who added me to friends list

I think the flaming head looks kinda neat, but doesn't it make you an easier target?

I don't multiplayer so I'm not sure how it works..

Maybe the Halo series as a whole, but I wouldn't say any single game would warrant it. Gears of War is another selling point for the 'box as well.

If you like video games, X-Box is the way to go IMO.

there are more good games besides halo for the xbox. so I would say go ahead and get it if there are other games that interest you. Also there is the limited system bundel you can get that has a limited edition of the system plus the game, 2 controllers and a bigger harddrive.

finally got to playing multiplayer today and i had some so so matches. Best one was the best here it was 2 on 4, two members of my team had dc or something...or they didnt like the match. We ended up winning 44-37 due to time.
