Glad this info was released prior to ordering. I'll pass. The sculpts are nice, but Sideshow's tactic of deceiving it's customers have me saying "pass". Shameful IMO.

Sure bunky. :lol

Is that the best insult you got? I mean if that is then you got some work to do. :lol

Oh come on, Josh. What about this one, then:

You don't think these pics intentionally make Luke look shorter?? The background of the image above from the ordering page is a clincher. Luke is in FRONT of Han... and yet still clearly made to look shorter. :lol

I think its a picture selling a product. I don't think they're trying to hide the size at all. I guess I don't think they're really that devious to do that. I think they make Luke look shorter but thats it.

Josh, we get it. Nothing can convince you. That's your prerogative of course.

Your point is what? I have the right to repeat myself over and over as much as the same folks saying SS is trying to deceive them. I get you don't care for me for whatever reason (even made a snide joke in the chat the other day) but unless you have a point or something to add to the discussion when talking to me you can just refrain from doing so.

Josh... starting to sound like a co dependent wife dude... "its not his fault that he hits me"...

Whatever. I'm just always giving my two cents. People can take what I say however they so choose. I find it funny my opinion gets more crap made out of it than others on this board. I'm here just shooting the stuff just like anyone else. I guess I'm just louder and more forceful about it than other members.

Maybe Sideshow has deceived us all with another SDCC Exclusive, and we'll all be getting a black or light blue Cobra Commander :horror

Get over it people! :lol

I don't know if it's your fault or just bad luck, but you do seem to land in the hornets nest alot, Josh.

I'm not sure if Sideshow intentionally did this to fool people. I think its more likely that they posed them this way because it looks good. However I also feel that some criticism is warranted because they are consistently posed in ways that make Luke look shorter and I think they should have been more careful about that. For some people they may be expecting Luke to be shorter and will be disappointed when they get it. Even if its not intentional it does reflect poorly on Sideshow.

It's easy to see Luke's behind Han. I don't know what the deception is all about. If they were side-by-side and different in height vs. in-person seeing final product that would be one thing, but did anyone here TRULY think they'd lower the height specially for Luke? Pop a new head on a Stormtrooper body and it's instantly a new figure!

I am not going to order them, and it is not because Luke is taller, because their helmet has the stripes on the wrong spot and Medicom's doesn't or because their armor is not shinny etc, etc. I don't care about 100% movie accuracy or lack of it.

See, I had given up on Star Wars. I got fed up with Hasbro producing 323 Lukes, 529 Anakins, 123 Darth Vaders, R2-D2 with sound, R2-D2 with extending arms, etc, etc. I just said enough. So when Sideshow released their Star Wars line I didn't care.

In January I ordered Hot Toys Batman and I loved the figure so much that I ordered Two Face, both Jokers, the Batpod, Iron Man and the second Batman. Those figures got me excited about 1/6 again, so while trying to find more information on 1/6 figures I came across this forum. I love this forum and all the information here. After seeing countless pictures of Sideshow's Star Wars and how good they look, I decided to give them an opportunity. I purchased Bib, Jabba, Boushh, Plo Koon, Palpatine, Asajj, etc, etc.

Then I received my Stormtrooper and my Obi Wan Clone. My excitement was killed by these two figures. They are looser than the girl I took to the prom. I can not believe that my Stormtrooper can not stand on his own. The vibration of people walking by makes him fall, WHAT!!!!

I was so excited because I got a Obi clone exclusive for $60 shipped, brand new! When I got him I wanted to pose him with General Cody's hologram at eye level. I can't. His arm doesn't stay up, it keeps falling to his waist.

Now, I know that there are mods for these problems. But when I pay big bucks for a "premium" figure I want it to work out of the box.

So, until Sideshow fixes these problems I won't be getting more armored figures from them. True that we don't know if these figures will have the same problem, but I am not willing to spend $200 to find out.

I ordered the butcher, my first The Dead figure. Let's see how that goes.

Now Darth Vader is coming, mmmmmmm.

I'm just lucky that way. :lol

I agree with the second part of your post.

Josh quit playing with those damn nests. :lecture :lol

U told me it would be fun. :lol

:lol I'm just glad my comments don't bring as much attention as Josh's.

Consider that major luck. :lol

That's true - there is no photoshop manipulation, just a perspective trick in every single image with the two of them together.

Except for the background of the image on the order page, of course:

That is not forced perspective. The Luke is in FRONT of the Han and yet still made clearly shorter.

i'm not too upset, remarkably, but I guess its better that the info came out and have the crap slinging now as opposed to after paying for it and receiving it in the mail.

The key word is "trick"!

Just didnt expect this from them. What I'd like is to not be "tricked" (except for at the shoe show). :wacky
