you know, perhaps taking a cue form SST and just posing them as they are in the photos will be enough to suggest a height difference?
Actually, the Stormtroopers are on the armored bodies, not the Pro. Comparing armored Obi with the regular Obi, he seemed just about fine. The Han I customized is just about the same height as Smuggler Han so any size differential between the Hans is really non-existant.
For the guy who was concerned about Vader's height: don't be. at 14 inches he is a full head taller than a stormtrooper.
if the helmets fit over Luke & Han heads... then it be a nice deal... you can Pose it next to Vader or as Luke & Han as Stormtroopers... but its not going
So it seems that Trevor is the artist. So Oluf's comment about sculpting two heads that fit under helmets remains to be seen. Hmmmmm.....
After that photo was taken, there was major futzing and folding of the chest piece to make him look more presentable. Capice?!

I don't think you need to freak out on people. We get it's a WIP, but what you're missing, at least for me, is the point is, your WIP is likely what production from SSC would look like. Yes your final piece will have mods to make it look better, but heavily reworking a figure is not an option/choice for every collector, a solid looking piece out of the box with relatively minor futzing is the ideal goal for the majority of collectors, and to come out like your unfinished work would be a bad looking out of the box figure and correct height or not, the Luke in this set looks nice compared to how he could look with a slightly shortened body and no armor worked to cater to the smaller body for a better aesthetic.
Almost time for the pre-order and I still haven't made up my mind. Curse my indecisiveness!
Yup, there's almost 3 months to figure out if you can afford these or not, definitely worth preordering to secure it for yourself and make the big decision when you absolutely must.
Oh I forgot to check. Han just looked like an Oluf to me so I assumed it was. Interesting.... I had a feeling these were not the figures he was alluding to... Curiouser and curiouser.
Unless as someone pointed out, it was a rejected sculpt/idea?? How exactly does Sideshow commission the sculpts? Are several artists told to sculpt, let's say a Han and Luke, and then Lucas picks the ones they want????
In case any of you need hi-res pics before making your decision, don't forget to use this link https://www.sideshowtoy.com/prod_photos/jpg/2179_press01.jpg and simply change the last number (01, 02, 03, etc.) after "press" to view the whole set. Man, I sure hope the paint on the eyes is better on the production than they are on the prototypes. The ice blue eyes makes them look lifeless.
Too lazy to look back through the threads, but does anyone know what the purpose of the fake apple is in the last pic (first link below)? Could it possibly be SS's way of saying "See, we stuck this apple here to show you that Luke is the same height as Han; he is just not as close to the camera as Han so that is why he appears shorter."? Lame excuse, but I can hear it now. However, pic 13 (last link below) does not support that argument as they are side by side and Luke is actually out in front of Han and still "appears" shorter. I'm not holding my breath that Luke is shorter. I'm sure they'll be the same height. Too bad though, SS could have knocked them out of the park with a little height difference.

Good luck to all ordering. I'm on the fence about these, but will probably place an order for them and cancel later if I talk myself out of keeping them. Rather be safe than sorry & regret not ordering them.
