I went to watch last night's episode on my DVR only to find out it had been preempted by baseball.

Stuff like that really pisses me off we don't have the Brit's TV system. Their shows will send signals when the program is starting and ending, even if it gets delayed to due sports. New NEED that here. Either that or someone to finally stand up and say "My scripted TV show is more important than your poorly planned sports schedule. Finish on time or you don't get an ending" :pfft:

I guess having to wait until 10pm Saturday night here at least prevents the show getting bumped due to stupid sports. Ugh. The wait is killing me!

Couchtuner.com is your friend.

I'll check it out. Thanks.

Interesting...I didn't know they had that.

I wouldn't have minded as much, but it was the season finale. I was all set to watch it this morning.

It will be on NBC on demand too, so it shouldn't be too hard to track down. Its just annoying you can't rely on a DVR because of sports though.

So after all my whining, it turns out NBC has it On Demand already. I thought it usually took a week before they put up new episodes. :dunno

Incredible end to the season. So much blood! I'm glad we get to see what happens next.

Wow, what an explosive finale. Like 4 "Who Shot J.R." Dallas finale cliffhangers, but man it is going to be a long wait and not sure I like all that I read in the Fuller interview about the changes to format coming. Sounds like they are really going to make it up as they go along next season. They've already been doing it significantly since day 1 so I guess it won't be that different. Just after two episodes back to back that brought in significant moments (altered of course) from the novels, I hope there will be some more nods. I just wish they'd get the rights to Silence of the Lambs. The rights holders are doing nothing with them as their Clarice Starling show never materialized.

Great season finale! So many twists that I had to watch it again to absorb everything that went down. Not at all how I thought it would end. It's going to be difficult wait for next season.

I was shocked to see Abigail still alive. At first I thought she was just Alana's hallucination. I'm tempted to rewatch this season to see if there were any clues I didn't pick up on. Also Hannibal's therapist on the plane beside him makes me feel that she was colluding with him the whole time. But that doesn't work with the fact that she fled and Hannibal went to her office in his kill suit. Also I have a strong feeling that Will and Jack could be dead. With all that blood Hannibal must've cut some arteries.

Something tells me Will's going to have a much closer bond with the dog that was out on the porch than the others.:lol

I know it's a joke but, you do realize that Will and Hannibal ate "long pig" a couple of episodes back. I'm still trying to mentally "fix" that by tying to figure out how Will faked that but it doesn't seem like something he could pull over on Hannibal.

Just finished the finale Wow! What a great finale. Probably the best finale this season of TV. If they had not been renewed, I felt it tied things up fairly well, but I'm thrilled it was renewed because I can't wait to see where this goes.

I think they left nearly every 'death' in this episode just vague enough that any one of them could survive or die. They all could be dead, or none of them, or just some of them. Very nicely done.

We need a Hannibal figure yesterday! I'm thinking Funko is the closest one to making that happen. I could see them expanding from Pop figures to their legacy line. Otherwise a full 1:6 bootleg is the only other route. Yeah there is the head out there, but we need a Plaid suit to go with that at the very least.

Unfortunately Fuller says that we'll learn their fates in episode 2 of next season. :thud

I loved Hannibal's monologue to Will where they lifted some of the dialogue from the novel/movie. Plus that moment where Hannibal smelled Freddie's scent on Will. He looked so heartbroken. Can't wait to pick up season 2 on bluray.

I could not even comprehend what what happening at the end. Amazing. I really thought Will would have shot Hannibal. Didn't he have a gun? Or I maybe thought Abigail would have intervened. I still can't believe she did that to Alana. I can't believe Abigail exists!

And the way it ended! First with the credits over the sky and clouds. I was thinking WTF? It was ending like a movie?!? Luckily I kept watching (FF on the DVR) and saw the epilogue. Damn. What a freaking ending.

Here's a link to an interview with Bryan Fuller about the episode (some potential next season spoilers):

In a sense. They aren't pulling things from the novels in order. So they are shaking things up a bit, which I'm fine with. I felt Will being in prison this season was long enough. I'm not sure the show would remain interesting if Hannibal were locked up for a few seasons while we wait for him to break out. That's not to say I wouldn't like them to be able to use Silence of the Lambs, but I just don't see a deal being reached to be able to use Starling, Buffalo Bill and the SotL storyline. :(

Unless of course the show eventually gets cancelled and one of the backup networks is the one with the SoTL rights. In that case, a cancellation and pick up on a new network might be just want the show needs. But I'm happy with what we are getting regardless.

Trust me, you don't want that scenario. I believe the network that holds the rights to Clarice and all the SOTL content is Lifetime. :lol

:lol Seriously? I know they have a few cable networks interested in the show should it ever get canceled, so at least we should get a true ending out of this series. I just hope they can work out something with lifetime for the SotL rights :lol

Yeah I just checked.. MGM owns the rights to SOTL and all the characters that originated in that novel and Lifetime licensed those rights from MGM to develop a show about Clarice. Ugh.. :lol

Well if the rights have already been leased, its possible they could divert back to MGM or maybe even Lifetime re-lease them to NBC. The fact MGM is letting the license be least for tv at all is a good sign though as it means they aren't against the idea. But why would anyone want the rights to just Clarice and not Hannibal too? :lol That whole "characters that originated" from Novel X idea is kind of a dumb one when you don't own the rights to the first novel with the main character of the series.

The fact there hasn't been any movement on that Clarice project (or at least I haven't heard of anything) then maybe some deals could go down since making a few bucks off of someone else using the license is better than just letting it go to waste right?

You think NBC hasn't been trying to get those rights? It has been said multiple times by Fuller that Lifetime has no interest in letting NBC use them.
