Because then your cutting into profits. It'd be like Sony shipping 15mil Playstation 4's and then still having demand so they ship another 15mil. They aren't going to lower the price until demand goes down.
Sideshow evidently have numbers telling them they can sell 1750 EX's.
And I agree with a post earlier. If Joker came out now, his ES would probably be higher.

Harley should have been 750 ex and 1500 reg. Instead we get 1750 ex with a price hike too. SS thanks is to give us the fans and buyers a huge ES with the price hike.
well unless maybe.... Could it be 1750 harleys altogether? No reg will be made? If that was the case I could be happy with the ES.

By what logic are you getting those numbers? Are you selling these statues? Or are you just buying them?

Sorry I type it so badly it was missing words. I revised what I was trying to say. I buy statues for myself. Selling them is not worth it for many reasons as mention in a thread about investing in these things. Also SS won't allow more than one.

I didn't mean to imply that you were scalping them. I'm pointing out that you are a buyer, not in any way affiliated the company making living off the sales of these. Your opinion on what the edition size should be solely reflects your own personal interest, which is immaterial as regards the production of the thing you're buying (or not). These aren't being made so that we can have statues. They're being made so that Sideshow can make money. They don't need to thank us. We get what we pay for.

FFS with ES moaning lmfao. They've got old figures going for big bucks on the after market and with this license at least they're making sure they get a good slice of that after market value. I say good luck to them, the big runs on Batman, Harley and Superman are supporting the smaller run figures like the 300 ES on my mAster Chief PF that's thing is a gonna be a beast and I bet there'll be a lot of collectors wishing they pulled the trigger on him last year.

I agree with you chin/devil. To me the ES doesn't make much difference as long as a company doesn't lie about it. They are in business to profit, good on them if they can sell 20k of them. What they are worth later isn't their concern.
To me the price/ value of this is harder to make work in my own mind, but if they have the buyers willing to pay, again, good for them, that's what they are in business to do.

I'd stop thinking of EX as a "limited supply/highly sought" item. It's really just a Way to reward customers who buy direct in order to cut wholesale discounts. Also a way to get people buying in earlier in the launch cycle. Pull in th NRDs early and add it to the bottom line or fund production.

It's all it's ever been. Just because there were lower numbers before people changed in their minds what the word meant. Exclusive means you can only get it from one place. Limited means only a set number made. Rare means very few in production.
The meanings were never in question, but people on the board seem to think they were.

Maybe so in your world, but in the real world anyone that's been in this for long enough knows that anything Star Wars related has never appreciated in value, other than a few pieces. As far as the Marvel line goes, I'm sure theres a few duds, but for the most part they usually go up in value in the long run, for example The Thing PF could be had for half of retail for years after release because simply put, SSC produce way to many of them and had them for sale or discount on their site for years, but now he's worth considerably more than retail. If you want to throw statues like LD in this mix, which is one of the best female pieces ever made and which SSC may have over produced, wait for it to sell out at SSC and then see if she's still on this list a year after it sells out......For some reason I don't think she will be.

Well if most are hoping that in case of emergency they can let go of their pieces for more than retail later on, then i say go to a statue which is less made than stick with ss ex pf statues, i get these pieces and multiples because she and joker are my favorites. Also dc direct has been having high numbers of statues in the past as well, so why can't ss have it also. I'm sorry but if it is strictly losing money everyone is afraid of then move on to some that is 500 or less made. Not everything will be dr doom pf ex. By the way i had an opportunity to buy him before and get him for 200-300 above retail in ebay right after and i didn't because he wasn't my favorite. I don't regret that now even though he's worth 2400 plus. Joker and harley is my main character villain fave, so i go hard on them. I didn't even buy skaar and i believe he's going up in value. Riddler in a suit for sure is a multiple buy for me, Catwoman not sure yet, wonder women, yes, grundy and darkseid only one or two. Not my fave as much and mr. j and harley.
