Updated my sig with Harley.
The nipples look fine. Dont be so sensitive. Its a skin tight body suit.
And as for portrayal of women, Harley is the absolute worst case portrayal of a woman period. A once intelligent psychologist turned domestically abused maniacally obsessed sex kitten for a psycho killer. If this statue bothers you, dont buy it.
As for anime, that stuff just makes me uncomfortable. Not because it is women portrayed in sexual contexts, but because they all look 10 years old. Not for me.

There are plenty of statues out there with male nipples. Unfortunately we choose to differentiate, but it really is JUST the human form...

It doesn't bother me personally, I like the statue overall. However, I think the nipples make it look ridiculous. Superman is wearing a skin tight suit, same with batman. Would look pretty stupid with rock hard nipples under the suits.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure I understand the creation of "Nipplegate" here. People with families are worried their kids or in-laws will see Harley with little nipples on her big boobs and get the wrong idea? But if the little bumps weren't there, it'd be totally fine to have her in the house with kids?

The peeps that are worried about the nipples can just have them sanded off. There problem solved.

I didnt get Joker but I'm looking at maybe getting Harley as she's friends with Ivy ( who I'm getting).
Although I'm not too fond of the Ex head. Too yuck! is it too late to change that? I guess I got too used to the arkham city/arkham asylum Harley, who has a better face.

Yowza alot of things I will need to fix to get it how I would like it.
From far away pics look a little better, the reg head isn't so bad, don't like the shoes/heels, diamonds are all the same size, nips don't need to be there. Exclusive head I am still iffy about it like the hair and idea but should have been a bit more playful that creepy bride of chucky looking. Leg position isn't sitting well with me either too similar to ivy.
Base looks good, mallet looks good, like pose above knees. The reg head really could make for a better unmasked portrait.

Real women do indeed have nipples; as a woman myself, its a no-brainer. However, Harley has never struck me as a seductress, though and so the fact that she is sporting these so prominently is offputting. Harley is cute and rather sweet, with a touch of lets-kill-the-Bat thrown in - she should not be a full-on seductress.
Nipples hanging out makes men happy, true but everyone else is wondering "does this detract from the 'flavor' of the character?" And this strikes me as dissonant with the feel of the original character from the cartoon. Dini or Dodson [comics] would never portray her like this.

But Harley is looking for the approval of the Joker only, pretty much and so asking for attention from every passing man strikes some fans of the character as, well, really out of character for her.
Im a little disappointed that SSC took the low road in this fashion.

Originally I was definitely going to go for the blonde head, but I kind of wish the expressions had been switched. I am not a huge fan of how they handled the tongue sticking out. It just looks weird and it makes her look almost inhuman. The regular head is just perfect though. I love the expression and paintjob.

I'm sorry but your view of Harley is incredibly dated. She has basically been a whore for the last decade and becomes more sexualized every year. Even in the original series she was obviously supposed to appeal to the young male watchers and had that seductive style to her. It really isn't a stretch to imagine someone wearing a skin tight outfit exposes their nipples.
This nipples thing is laughable at best. People have no issue with her insanely exaggerated proportions, but if the nipple bumps are their it's hell to pay. All this after ten pages of people complaining about her butt not being fully seen with fabrics. Or after hundreds of pages of people whining that Rogue's butt was fully exposed.
