Has anyone been able to tell if her base is Ivy sized or Joker sized? At this rate Ivy is going to be towered by the whole Batman line

I'm guessing Harley's is taller than Ivy's but shorter than Joker's.

It's about 1/2 the height of Joker's (similar to Ivy's) and 2/3 the diameter. You can calculate it by comparing the apple scale photos.

I'm sorry but your view of Harley is incredibly dated. She has basically been a whore for the last decade and becomes more sexualized every year. Even in the original series she was obviously supposed to appeal to the young male watchers and had that seductive style to her. It really isn't a stretch to imagine someone wearing a skin tight outfit exposes their nipples.

...Really? because the cartoon I remember watching, and the comics I remember reading - many of which I still have - featured nary a nip. I guess "dated" means "over 5 years old" these days.

I really don't care if DC is "whoring" her out these days, although why they would need to "whore" a character who is fixated on ONE GUY is beyond me. Supervillain though he may be.... This figure is clearly trying to reference the original version of the character, and nips have no place in that. Her shapely derriere and pretty legs were sex-appeal enough back in the day.

Now we have this, er.... these. And they look stupid. Truth. Harley does not need to be a whore and there is no need whatever to make her one. We have 10,000 other comics characters NOT WEARING FULL TIGHTS whom we can put in that place, instead of one of the few cute and funny ones left.

So I will probably save $400, and that's all good. The Ivy PF is a zillion times better IMO.

Quoted for truth. Outside of the core JLA, a few Superman villains and the Bat villains, the world abroad probably knows more Marvel lower tier characters than DC's.

Anyway I like this enough. I'll be putting her next to Mista J! The body seems too large in comparison to the legs, but then again Batman's left leg appears too short in some pictures as well, so we'll see I guess.

As much as I like nipples it might be too much for her, I imagine she'd wear a bra, I know nipples can be hard enough to peak past those. Since the New 52 I've only read Harley during her brief appearance in the Joker arc in Batman because I mainly follow the Bat books and JLA. I know Harley looks more sexualized in Suicide Squad and she very well may be a whore in that book (seems the in-thing to do in comics nowadays), but I don't think that description fits classic Harley. Poison Ivy and Catwoman, classically, were always more sexualized and seductive pre-New 52, and I wouldn't call them whores...well, except that one version of Catwoman's ever changing origin where she actually was a whore.

At the same time, classic Harley in the comics wasn't as tame as the Animated version we all love. Even if aimed towards her obsession with Joker, the cover of her first in continuity appearance depicted her in a somewhat sexualized way, fawning over Joker while outstretched across him. It wasn't excessive, but it was there from the beginning. I think recently DC just let it go a little too far.

Hmmm I just got home from work, took a look at the reg head, the ex head is strange at first glance. She looks insane. The reg head is a bit more animated then I thought. After a minute of looking at both portraits....WOW! I LOVE THIS! I mean there's always room for improvement. But holy cow sideshow. You nailed this one! I love the 2 totally different heads. It makes a great choice for us to swap around every few days! Yes! Yes! Yes! ing: like the punisher ex head I didn't like it at first but then I loved it. Too bad the final version took out the ex head. It was so disappointing. I really hope this Harley gets everything shown from the nipples to both crazy insane faces. How come the dc line is so much better then the marvels? They are nailing the dc line so well! :thumbs2: thanks SS for giving us the nipples and both portraits for Harley! I still love both crazy insane looking faces! I will order this on day one!

Good thing you looked at it first. I've had to do the same with mine, now 14.

I'll never forget the look on her face the first time she saw Starfire in a comic. She was a huge fan of the cartoon, and Starfire was her favorite. This was the old comic, too. Ugh.

She looks insane.

She is insane. I love how they did her eyes. I wish the exclusive head had been masked, but the regular does the trick just fine for me, and I like the exclusive regardless.

anywho!! Love the statue! The cloth looks great, the pose is cool, the base is like the Joker's, they're going to look awesome together, she's going to be a great addition to the Bat collection.
I'm not sold yet on the EX head yet so I think I'll display the reg but it might grow on me when I get it.

Harley Quinn looks awesome! Will Pre-Order her even though i'm not a big DC fan more of a Marvel fan. I do love the Joker and Harley. So i'll be Pre-ordering her right when she goes up and will have to pick up the Joker which I found him at my LCS. So will have to get him in a couple of weeks. Really i'm getting Harley for my girlfriend but you know I don't mind having her in the ever growing collection. Will also be picking up Poison Ivy soon.

I don't think so. Honestly something like noticeable nipples isn't a big deal in general. It also won't be very noticeable on the final product I imagine. Hell I can barely notice it on the zoomed out shots. They made it just subtle enough to work really well.

Her entire persona revolves around her sexual attraction to the Joker. She went off the deep end because she wanted him in her pants, and her madness is now inextricable linked to her sexuality. She can't be crazy without being horny, and vice versa. Psycho-sexual juggernaut. With a big hammer.

There is an entire market for that in Japan and plenty of statues elsewhere get made with those bits as well it really isn't anything disturbing or especially surprising either. Sometimes I feel like you guys need to get out more. And by "get out" I mean browse the internet There really isn't much difference between nipples, the ridiculous amount of cleavage of the Poison Ivy statue, and then cast off bikinis. Hell ARH does cast off already too. Different strokes. Whatever works.
