It's funny, the camping never really bothered me. I guess I felt like Rowling did a good job showing how tense everything was with them on the run. It's not like they were camping on a hiking trip; they were camping because they were fugitives.

No, Harry Potter should not have taken note. Bombadil was one chapter that didn't even really fit into the story.

In Potter there is way too much talked about and plotline details in the camping parts ( book ). Where they made the mistake was leaving much of that out in the movie during the camping, but they did the best they could in a 2.5 hour movie.

Also, there will be a LOT of action in the next film that would have had the be SERIOUSLY cut down if all was squeezed into ONE film.

I think most Potter fans will be very grateful for Part 1 once Part 2 is allowed to take the time needed for the final battle instead of rushing it.

You know, I really agree with that. It's true, had they packed it all in one, we would not be so happy. But, saying that...I wish they could have extended some of the fight scenes (the air battle for one) just a little. Would have given us a little more action.

I am still very excited for the next one, and when doing marathons (like I am this weekend) I will still watch Half Blood Prince and the first part of the Deathly Hallows.

One thing I really loved was Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour. I hope to see more of him in the second. Love bill's voice.

Thought it was borning, like the last one.

Why didn't he use a water heating spell when he jumped in after the sword?? Newb. . .

The animated story was well done though.

Becuase it adds suspense to the scene. Its a movie. Yea it would have made more sense but it would not add suspense to the scene if he did.

Are there better action scenes on the blu-ray's then on the regular dvds? I thought they were all the same.

I wont be getting the blu-ray's till pt.2 comes out. I want a pretty box set.

I'm not buying any HP movies until the big box set when it's over

I bought the first two Ultimate Editions on Blu-ray and then the clowns at Warner went and changed the packaging for the next two. :slap

Now I'm just going to wait for a complete boxed set.

My girlfriend and I didn't get a chance to see part 1 this weekend. I was wondering if it's worth it to see it in IMAX.

We saw HBP opening weekend and then saw it in IMAX a few weeks later, but didn't feel it was worth the extra $ for that movie.

The movie is much heavier on human drama than spectacle. But if you've ever wondered what camping looks like in Imax, go for it.
