I do like that she continues to expand on the characters even though the books are completed.

She's not really expanding. She's clarifying stuff that was in the books. She must have reams of stuff on each character that hasn't seen print. I'm interested in hearing about it.

I always suspected it. Some of the stuff Rita Skeeter published in her book kind of hinted that he was gay.

Hmmm, interesting. I can understand his "love" for Grindewald. IN the books, Rowling seems to point over and over again that NOBODY is dumbledore's equal in anything. and finding someone who actually IS an equal can forge a bond between them. but her just plain out saying he's gay is odd and to me, not really necessary. don't affect how i feel about the character.

I wonder if for the final movie when they show Dumbledoor's past, if they'r goona make it a little "Brokeback":monkey1:D But i think it's great she said that. It add's a little more to the Potter universe and it explains a few things about his past.

Interesting. Doesn't change a thing for me as even in the books he never mentions or shows any romantic sentiment towards anyone (male or female). It shouldn't have any impact on the last two movies either.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Man, how did I not see that. Him and Grindelwald staying up late at night together. Travelling the world. Wow, duh. That should have been obvious.

IMO this is stupid. No, not because I hae a problem with gays because I don't. I just think it's a little ridiculous to come out months after all the boks are finished and read and then say "Oh, by the way Dumbledore is gay". Does it matter at this point? Does anyone really care? What's the point to it?

I think she's just trying to stir up more interest and sell more books to people.
