I found this thread to see how people approached bashing the Hasbro figure and I'm beginning to wish I hadn't bothered !:lol I've had the Hasbro on my "to-do list " for a couple of years and the problems are obvious . First of all , there's no point in criticising it for being what it is , a badly articulated figure . Get over it . If you're waiting for the Sideshow figure , fair enough . Leave us customisers to it . Yes , the arms are a joke , you only have to look at them and they fall apart . So replacing the ball joints is a must . This seems straight forward enough with the help of some Bionicle bits . The same with the neck . The sculpting is passable and can be brought out with a little paint .
And amidala_zelda , your's looks great , if mine comes out nearly as good as that I'll be satisfied . :clap

Here is my attempt. Always been wanting to improve it, but why bother with Sideshows coming soon.

Wow , that's the business ! What did you use for the elbow joints ? :clap

I bought a variety of joints from Hobby link Japan. Do a search and you can find all types of mini joints. For the hips and neck I used Kenict ball and sockets, the arms were aluminum tube. I also extended the waist and and lower legs so he would be towering over Obi-Wan.
