I'm not sure that is an official Hasbro pic. It read more like "could it look like this?"

Here is an image of the R2-D2 in the 6" Black Series. Showed up in my Facebook feed via GalacticHunte. I am definitely excited about this line. The price-point is steep--would much prefer $14.99--but the two showings thus far look really good!

Nice!!! :rock!

Yeah, that R2 mock up is a fan-made rendering, unfortunately. If the actual one looks anywhere close to that I'll be extremely happy.

I'm hoping Maul won't have one of those terrible smiles. Maybe a-la Medi-Maul expression. Also I wonder if Hasbro would provide the cloak as well? :dunno

My bad on the image. I should have researched it first.

For $20 I hope they do come close!

I think the 6" line will tank. $19.99 is alittle high for what Hasbro is known for. If this were NECA I might be fine with it, as they're reaching $19.99 anyway. With Hasbro's QC issues, I can barely find a 4" Luke that isn't cross-eyed - what are my hopes for finding a 6" Luke that isn't cross-eyed?

They need to make this 6" line collector friendly and release the big OT names quick if Hasbro has any hopes of it surviving. Over-saturate it with Sandie Troopers and Clones (like they did with TVC) and watch it die real quick.

I remember a high end Hasbro SW line called UNLEASHED. It didn't go anywhere (very little articulation, if any). They were about 6" and $30 a pop. I'm not buying into this "SW black" nonsense... like I did with the "unleashed" line. Save your money gang!

Actually, Unleashed ran for 8 years total and the figures ranged in price from $15-20 for the most part. I'd say Unleashed was pretty damn successful, Hasbro just started getting into too many reissues and repaints with it. For me it was one of the better lines from the PT era.

Quoted for truth! Unleashed was pretty successful and was never meant to be a larger scale "action figure" line, they were meant to be statues. Even after they did away with the larger scale figures, they continued the Unleashed line at a smaller scale.

Comparing Unleashed to the Black Series is really apples and oranges. People keep throwing "Epic Force" out there too, but those were statues as well...and pretty crappy ones at that. The only real comaprison that can be made is the Mega Action figures, but that's not really a fair comaprison as those, despite being 6" figures, were obviously designed for kids.
