Actually, Unleashed ran for 8 years total and the figures ranged in price from $15-20 for the most part. I'd say Unleashed was pretty damn successful, Hasbro just started getting into too many reissues and repaints with it. For me it was one of the better lines from the PT era.

They were successful!... to Hasbro, :lol but try selling them to free up some extra space. It's like selling anything Hasbro that has been previously owned... No one wants it, unless it's given away. :)

with cloth robes????...............BOUGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!..:lecture

Quoted for truth! Unleashed was pretty successful and was never meant to be a larger scale "action figure" line, they were meant to be statues. Even after they did away with the larger scale figures, they continued the Unleashed line at a smaller scale.
I LOVED the large Unleashed line. I have a complete set. I didn't get into the small ones, but we did buy them frequently for birthday parties. They made AWESOME cake toppers!!! My friends and I always grabbed a bunch of them, and placed them in the party decorations aisle to see if they'd sell. And they did! Rarely did they end up back in the toy aisle.

Yea, Unleashed was pretty strong around here. Remember back then, there wasn't Kotobukiya and granted GG had statues, but the Unleashed stuff from Hasbro was affordable. Sure, army build types didn't do so well, like Tuskens and Clones, but everything else always sold down.

So, with the 6" line, would everyone prefer all sculpted or Soft Goods? For myself, soft goods could be pretty awful in this scale - if Hasbro continues to use similar 'cloth' as they do in the 3 3/4"

Still in denial so I am going to warp your question so that my answer can be the 3A ones being my preference, with lovely miniature tailoring and separate armour parts over a shrunken TT style body with 34+ points of articulation, all concealed beneath clothing. Optional rusting extra :lol

The thing that's kind of annoying, is that Hasbro have already released umpteen X-wing pilots (including Luke) in the 4" line for years now - & the first figure from a BRAND NEW scaled line they decide to showcase is....... another pilot figure. :lol

Something like the droids or Chewie - right off the bat, would've been far more appetite wetting - & damn cool! :lecture

I know.. they're trying build anticipation, but.. -> :gah:

:lol

Agreed stupid choice- Luke Bespin or better yet Luke farmboy are the best choices...

X-Wing Pilot Luke - Bad choice. We've seen too many of them in the 3.75" line and Luke has had other more iconic looks. Farm-boy, Dagobah fatigues, Knight are all better choices. If this is an essential, best of style line, then I could do with Pilot Luke.

Sandtrooper - Ok, I get it. Gives us a chance to see what armored figures are going to be like. And Sandies are cool.

R2 - Ridiculously bad choice. Not much articulation and a smaller sized figure, that will still be $20. I expect him to be the pegwarmer/shelfwarmer of the wave easy.

Darth Maul - Sort of odd in a wave of OT, but it makes sense to give the PT crowd something. Should be the top seller given the scale and poseability. Assuming Hasbro doesn't muck up the facial tattoos like they have on the 3.75" Mauls.

R2 is to hook the astromech collectors! I'd buy a boba to try and kitbash a 1/12th cloth suit version (somehow) with the black series armour pieces (somehow) and a repaint :lol ....

Another Here-today, Gone-tomorrow line from Hasbeen.

That's assuming with Hasbro's distribution it ever gets here.

More accurately, it's a "heard about on the internet today and never saw in stores, so I ordered a case at scalper prices (which means I got a case with six R2-D2s and one of everyone else) online and just as it got to my door, the line was discontinued". Then after that Hasbro blames us for slumping sales, even though they're the ones that jacked-up the prices and only bothered to give one store in a 50 mile radius one case (same case as above) per six month period.

Red Metal - I see your point regarding Hasbro's mediocre planning with getting their stuff out there.. but I don't agree with you about R2 being a bad seller. Like Mortifactor said - lots of folks will be digging larger scaled, nicely detailed droid figures - including myself obviously. :yess:

I think ALL the OT figures will sell well - even pilot Luke. :lol

Not so sure about the PT figures though..
