WOW...from a collectors POV to do that is bad. The figure had to be soooo disappointing. Hasbro should know about this.

It may have been my expectation....hoping that they'd use the the scale to make a better articulated, more accurate figure. When I got him and the sculpt was so soft and he can't really achieve his "hunch" stance....just felt like a miss to me. I prefer my 3.75 Yoda from 10 years ago.

Distribution for this line is the worst I have ever seen. Series 1 and 2 was easy enough to find but from then on it has been a nightmare. Slave Leia clogged the shelves for months, that Han Greedo battlepack still going strong at 10+. Now that series three finally rolled out I have only seen three stormtroopers amongst four stores and multiple trips to those stores in the last few months..... I have yet to see anything past Series 3. No Yoda, Vader, Clone, Anakin.....

I remember when they had the 30th anniversary line the distribution was AMAZING. I was finding every single thing from that line, even Revan and Malak. Then with the Legacy Collection? (could be wrong on the name) I found Jacen and Jaina Solo, Force unleashed Shaak Ti and K'Kruhk. Even the Clone Wars figures for the first year or two were easy to find. But since 2013 finding anything is very rare.

I am very worried that when the Episode 7 stuff comes out nothing will be hardly seen but masks and toy lightsabers. Even the Rebels figures (which should not even be figures, they are horrible) I have had no success in finding. I have seen more stuffed plush dolls of stormtroopers than actual carded figures of any type!

Not to mention the line is full of OT crap. Do we really need three different versions of Luke within the first few series? Really, two different Leias? Han and Luke Stormtroopers? It is beyond laughable at the plan and execution of this line, it has been a complete failure.

Hasbro should have had each series of FOUR figures, each series with a particular theme or based on a certain episode. 6-7 sets a year, plus four deluxe sets would come out to be at least 28+ figures. Pretty good in my opinion.

Just looking at the figures we have gotten so far.... so many should not have been included so early into this line....
Slave Leia, Bespin Luke, Sandtrooper, Han as Stormtrooper, Clone Trooper Sgt., Clone Captain, Luke as Stormtrooper, TIE Pilot, Boushh Leia.....

Should have gotten Classic Leia, C-3PO, ANH Luke, Ben Kenobi, Rebel Trooper, Qui Gon Jinn, Snowtrooper (they release hoth sets, so why not the snowtrooper in replace of the sandtrooper....), Count Dooku, Grievous, Mace Windu, Battle Droids......

Oh boy, I forgot to mention the horrible quality of these as well. Hasbro has monkeys painting and baboons sculpting.

I totally understand your POV. I love figures. I love Star Wars figures. And to have a figure you wanted and be that disappointed to the point of returning is deep. Basically shows how poor these figures are and how expectations are not being met with quality and pricing.

I must say, between the quality drop and the randomness of the character choices I also repeatedly look at the 8 I have and ask myself why do I still have these?

I'd rather pay 30 bucks more for a Figuart 6" SW fig than 20 for poorly made crap anyway. :(

Sadly, it's a double screw over, because the same Hasbro is using their master licence to block US distribution of these.

I cannot fully fathom that there exist far better quality 5-7" action figures of Dragonball Z (my main collecting habit) than there are of Star Wars.

Im still grappling with the decision by Hasbro to re-release E3 Obi Wan twice in the line up. Its a shameless ploy to try and move stock but if it didn't sell the first time, pretty sure it won't the second and third!

Imagine re-leasing R2 or Maul? A better ploy would have been taking the Solo and Luke head and making different versions of the character. Yes, I m aware of the Luke and Han stormies coming out.

Thats not a ploy..its just EASY..

Yessss. Let the hate flow throughh you.

I agree with all of you. What a flop this has been since series 1.

Ever since I saw Han and his paint in series 2, I knew these were going down hill.

The sculpts aren't really bad. It's the horrid paint. They're using the same paint and paint methods they use on the 3.75" line.

And that just doesn't work.

As for distribution, AWFUL! Everywhere I go they have all the advertising elements with all the banners and signs but the pegs are EMPTY.

There is literally 1 Slave Leia on each peg and there are at least 6 pegs with 6" Black sticker tags on them. How are TRU managers ok with this?

It looks so bad! I was in retail management in the past and if any of my shelves looked like this I would be OUTRAGED. This needs to stop!

Dear Hasbro: enough already!

I wish NECA would pick up the 6 inch line.

The anniversary Freddy Krueger is a great example of how you can can have amazing paint detail and sculpt at this scale, a good amount of accessories and articulation, open/close window flap box with artwork, and still keep within the 20.00 price range.

While I've had far more QC issues with NECA than any other company, I would absolutely be more interested in figures from them. They at least seem to make efforts to correct their issues. And for a comparable price, both the sculpt and paint on their 6" scale figures is miles ahead of the Black Series.

I am done with this line. Tie Pilot was my last figure. Hasbro needs to stop making SW figures - they just seem bored with the lack of innovation. I would also like NECA to do a 7" line, but they will never do it......

I'm finally glad someone stated exactly what I've been thinking in my head since wave 2 surfaced! lol this whole line is full of wasted opportunities and horrible executive decisions by Hasbro. That Vader was such a shame

MOTU Classics is the only line I ever quit just because the company was so douchey.

They are great figures, though.

I think it is the head of each toy line that really dictates how well it does and how to accommodate collectors. For the WWE line the top guy is a huge fan and has watched all his life. He knows what collectors like and what they don't. He just had some super amazing reveals this past Friday that pleased everyone in the wrestling collector community. I feel like the head of the black series is just some suited executive who watched clips of the movies and never ever listens to fan input and is more concerned with saving money by doing repaints and part swapping (all the clones, luke han as stormtroopers) than actually putting out a good product. Look at the 3 3/4 rebels line. I do not really care for the show, it is okay, but still wanted the main core of characters for my shelf since it is canon. They are all oddly distributed throughout the line. No single carded figures of any of them. All are two packs that have the 5 POA and it really kills the chance of me buying. Lots of issues all throughout the Stat Wars lines. After seeing the next few series I really am not sure if I want to continue collecting these. Hasbro has given me no reason to continue.

It's not that NECA won't do it..

They can't do it.

Hasbro has that scale license FOREVER.

Randy would be all over the Star Wars universe if he could.

The reason why Hasbro continues to cheap out on their figures is simple:

Because they can.

They are the only place you can go to for 3.75" and 6" Star Wars toys. That will never change. Neither will the cheap paint and cheap paint apps.

They will continue to make blown up versions of the same 3.75" figures because they are the only ones who can.

If NECA got the license I would be done. NECA's figures are no better than the Mcfarlane sports figures. Very limited movement, never cared for anything they have done. I have there Gears of War figures..... they barely stand, they barely move.

As for Hasbro's 3 3/4 line, the newest ones look awesome from the black series. Leia, Rex, Chewbacca all look great.

Would be very interesting to see Funko with there Legacy line get a shot for 6 inch scale figures for Star Wars. Sadly, just like there POP! figures it will be filled predominantly with OT characters.

NECA has really upped their game, particularly with the articulation. They now have ball jointed hips and many of the figures are double joints at the knees and elbows.

You should take a look at their recent work. ;)

Bottom line

NECA would OWN a 7 inch Star Wars line and would be worth every penny of a $20 price point.
