Suggestions?

The Alien figures look good, but movement looks limited.

Edit: Went to there site, looked through, some good pieces, but not a company I would pick for Star Wars 6 inch.

Im still gonna stick with Mattel if Star Wars ever escaped Hasbro. Awesome movement on the WWE elite figures, spot on scans.

NECA stuff just looks big, heavy, bulky...

Yeah, thats what makes the new NECA figures so great, they don't have obvious seams at the articulation points anymore. Most of the joints are very cleverly hidden. The hip and knees joints are some of the best in the business. Meanwhile, the SWBS figures have the ugliest and most restrictive neck joint in recent history.

Alien figures have amazing articulation with a very wide range of movement. Including:
Double jointed knees
Double joint plus double swivel elbows
Ball jointed plus swivel hips and shoulders
Ball jointed ankles, wrists, waist and head
Toe bend
Mouth opens, tongue extends

It's not that NECA won't do it..

They can't do it.

Hasbro has that scale license FOREVER.

Randy would be all over the Star Wars universe if he could.

The reason why Hasbro continues to cheap out on their figures is simple:

Because they can.

They are the only place you can go to for 3.75" and 6" Star Wars toys. That will never change. Neither will the cheap paint and cheap paint apps.

They will continue to make blown up versions of the same 3.75" figures because they are the only ones who can.

^Exactly, Hasbro has a master licence (that means they're the only ones allowed to mass produce these, in fact, it's why they can block non-variat products like figuarts ad mafex). End of story. I'm just waiting until Disney finally outright buys Hasbro and has a full content - output - merchandising trinity under its belt. They'll essentially own children – a full circle consumption machine.

Really? Guess I was not giving them enough credit, that is a pretty extensive list. I might just have to buy the new Ripley. Thanks for the info. Might check a few videos too....

That sounds horrible.

Check out that NECA Freddy Krueger that just came out. That figure rocks and wets your appetite as to what could be accomplished.

Yeah the Ultimate T2 coming out looks awesome as well.

If Disney ever bought Hasbro, I would like this.

I would like that a lot.

Speaking of which...

I pre ordered the Mafex Vader from BBTS in August, anyone know what the deal is with these?

Amazon has the speeder bike for $18 for anyone still looking for it.

Amazon.com: Star Wars Black Series 6" Speeder Bike: Toys & Games

More than 50% off? Crazy....the only awesome set out of this meh line too

Even if NECA somehow got the license, they would only focus on figures they could do at least 12 repaints each.

ANH Luke
ANH LUKE comic book edition
ANH Luke with floppy hat
ANH Luke with poncho

Well, that would be waves 1-4 right there....

Will the previous waves figures be re-released. I remember when wave 1 was out and they was warming the pegs. Wished I picked up R2. And I did not even see Darth Vader on the pegs once or any characters besides Obi.

NECA would invest time and new tooling for Star Wars figures for two reasons:

1 They would sell.

2 They would sell.

Want my R2? I'm looking to get rid of him, Boba Fett, Leia, Sandtrooper, and Greedo. (LOL on those last two, never gonna happen!!!) Let me know if any of you are interested. I'm done with this line. So done that I don't want to look at the odd assortment I own. I will keep Han and Luke. They're too fun to give up and look pretty nice.

HAHAHA!

"Don't shoot, let 'em burn!"

Yeah, whiskey tango foxtrot with those tiny hands? Looks pretty good though.

The aliens always seem to be the best ones in this line.
