Proportions look great here. Biggest issue is the hair. Face isn't horrible. Not perfect but acceptable. Tempted to pick him up :gah:

Repainted the pouldron White. So I have a Sandtrooper Sergeant now :

Also sanded away the mold parting line running across the helmet :
Don't you all also think that the helmet weathering is overly done as compares to the rest of the body's weathering?
I suppose the helmet should received the least weathering/dirt. Therefore, I also removed some of the "dirt" from the helmet.

They're never even that dirty in the movie. Still, it's Hasbro's better attempt at weathering I've seen. Much better than any of the PotF2 guys I own. Do you own multiple Sandtroopers? I can't see wanting gray, white, or black pauldrons before having the orange. To each his own I guess.

He looks great. I'm definitely picking up two. At first I found the different helmet sculpt off putting, but I think they were striving for the "hero helmet" whereas the Sandtrooper has the "stunt helmet."

Any truth to that? I am not an armor aficionado.

This is actually half of a stunt that has been mirrored. That's why these helmets look great from the side and weird from the front.

That is what Lucas forces all licensors to do except for EFX (who makes replicas).

I bit the bullet and pre-order Sandy. Ouch $33. But I called my local Target and they said maybe 2-3 weeks but they won't put them out yet.

So I guess w/the driving around I shouldn't complain.:monkey3

Yeah, have 2 more and one of it will be converted to a black pauldron. Grey is a Hasbro's invention. It wasn't ever feature in the movie.

I just picked up all four of wave 1 at Target! Haven't even had a chance to open them yet, but they look amazing!

I'll get Boba Fett but that's about it.

This line is a cash grab by Hasbro, so I'm staying out of it for the most part.

:lol I'll get a couple of Sandies - they've nailed that one.

I'm really going to use restraint for this line though - because quite frankly, I've got an excellent 4" modern collection just waiting for a display area.

The only figures from the 6" line that I'll now likely get, will be ones I can use to compliment my 1/6 shelves - kinda like the SW posters that have the larger shots of characters in the foreground, & the lower tiered ones in the background - collage style almost. I'd have them up on little clear podiums set up in little action scenes.

A few Imperial troops, maybe some droids, a few misc figures.. & not much else.

Seeing how I don't have any SW figures yet (I'm not really into 3-4" stuff), this 6" series is the perfect introduction to SW figures for me.

I'll only get the core characters/ones I like. Hopefully they'll make a Jedi Luke... and the inevitable Darth Vader.

Well Series 2 has been announced and is available for pre-order. I'm guessing Vader will be in Series 3? But which Vader? :dunno
