Yeah I know about Series 2. I'll probably get Hans..
Now THAT, I'd buy.

Finally, someone that didn't overextend his leg! I'll be tempted to get him for sure. I would have to give him a wash to make the details pop after cutting off those dumb tabs on his doors. Any indication that the seam can be sanded down/repainted to be less noticeable? So sad to see them screw up such an important character. Your pics show me I'll likely pull the trigger on him when I find him in the store.
I'm looking at the closeup of R2 in these pictures and thought you'd probably not want a wash on it but instead use a fine tip black marker to panel lined it. Details should pop that way.
Or if you have time on your hands, tear down that little bugger. Repaint it matte milk white and put back all the details blue, chrome, panel lining etc. R2 should look awesome that way. But lots of work.
Does anyone know if the packaging is collector friendly on these?
Personally, if I was going to get a Star Wars figure I'd go up to the 1/6th scale, but I'm just over star wars collecting after the glut from the 90's..
I'd love to do that. But yeah, lots of work. Are the Koto Astromechs ridiculously huge compared to a 6" figure? Aren't they 7" scale? So I get to choose between an underwhelming/undersized version of R2 or an ultradetailed/oversized R2.
I'll wait to see this in hand before I investigate the Koto piece further.
The packaging is very neat. I'm a fan of these "boxed" packagings like most of DC Direct stuff. I keep them even though the figure is on a shelf or desk. Card blisters/clamshells like NECA's and McFarlane's usually end up in the garbage bin.Does anyone know if the packaging is collector friendly on these?
