Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

Nice touch up on R2! Still no black series in my area. I'd only grab a Sandy if I saw one. Mostly I'm looking forward to all of series 2, considering a case. Does anyone know if the packing is even in a case?

The wash helps.

Funny you should mention that! I used a .05 mechanical pencil to trace around his panels and then smudged it with my finger and an eraser to try to replicate the weathering he has on his feet. It looks a lot better in person than it does in these photos, but I think it really brings out his details a lot better:

These looks great!

Do you care to go into a little better detail on what you did, Flosi?

Just a black acrylic wash, Fiend. I'd put some into the cracks and wipe off the excess... Some areas didn't turn as uniform as I'd like since I did most of it late last night but I'm still happy.

BTW, did you get the eye gels for 3po? How did it turn out?

I'd be tempted to get another R2 and try a wash. R2 didn't look all dirty all the time, though. But it is a cool alternate look and certainly more iconic, I'd say.

R2 looks great, Billy! If I get him, I'll be sure to do the same trick. Or perhaps someone will find a less messy way? This inhibits me from playing with him.

Not sure how it would inhibit you from playing with him it's not messy at all.

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

Yeah that helps a lot Flosi. Looks good. I really want to pick up the sandtrooper.

I like the black wash that Flosi laid on his R2. I may pick him up and give that a go.

If these sell, and I'm pretty sure they will. I hope Hasbro makes a similar Indiana Jones line. I'm sick and tired of looking at those small Indy figures. I guess we can think of these as Movie Masters Star Wars figures.

Thanks for the tip for R2. Ill give it a go if I nab one.

As for the gels, I received them. I posted in the Tamashii thread thanking you. You may have missed it. I already sent off the remaining piece I had to another board member. :)

He looks great. A small improvement on an already fantastic figure.

As much as I love Indy and crave new figures, I just don't see it happening. Maybe if they go ahead with the 5th film but otherwise doubtful.

I've gone cold on these figures.. & they haven't even hit AUS yet. :lol

I'll probably get 2 Sandies, & hopefully they make a few droids.

Some Mos Eisley droids would be sweet. :rock
