Thought I'd share a horn mod I did with Darth Maul. The original ones looks OK but the red is half way up so kinda makes them look like poxes rather than horns. I used eproxy putty to remold the horns to make them more pointy, the good thing about this is the eproxy putty is already yellow-ish color, so after the molding there is no need to repaint it:

I also tried adding some panel lines to R2:

Those look sweet! Thanks for sharing.

Nice - what did you use on R2 to get those panel lines super clean like that?
I used this (the black color one):

But for white surface like R2 actually I think gray would be more suitable but black was all I had at the moment.
The way to do this is you apply the ink/paint straight from the bottle to a, lets say a corner of the panel lines, then the paint will automatically fill the line itself, and then afterwards you just clean the out-of-line paint with Q-tip with lighter fluid. So I think whether it look clean or not really depends on how you clean it up after. Hope this helps :)

They're too damn expensive here too. I'm in for Boba Fett and classic Yoda. Then I'm done.

For those that don't know, those are tamiya products and can be found at tamiya.com

Horn and panel line mods look fantastic. I just wish at $20 a pop they looked that good right out of the box.

I hate seeing stuff like that on the shelves. Hadn't seen it in a while at my local TRU, pretty disappointing.

Wow, what a great, easy to-do mod! That makes Maul 10x better. I just went out to Michael's and bought some sculpting clay and did the same thing. I love Maul even more now :) Amazing how little things like that can make or break a figure.
