Anyone else getting the sense that the Hasbro line is dying off? Seems to be far less new announcements and rumour reports on Rebelscum than there used to be. Any new figures coming out are ones I feel like I've known about for over a year.

Na, what I have seen for the last 4 years is. The have movie toys April till august. Then about this time October and November they ship the new stuff.

Best place to see the new line in eBay. They sell them staring most of the time in July or august.

Yah my TRU got some vintage falcons in today but they were still on the cart. I didn't bother to check the price. I already have it so whatever.

Here's some pics of my Speeder Bike from TRU

Absolutely. It's a slow death that's been going on for the past couple years. Really since TVC. CW was only going to carry the license so far and draw in new fans, but consistent price hikes, distribution issues, and quality problems will kill any line.

Hasbro doesn't listen to the core fanbase. It was obvious when they stopped doing those Q&A sessions on the major SW boards, that they just don't care.

Ya I forgotten about the prices. 2 years ago they were $6.99, now $9.99.

Maybe I should pick up the most recent figures...if they end up being some of the very last waves of OT stuff they could end up being too expensive for me to stomach later on.

A 6" action figure line could rekindle the fire. But Hasbro is too dumb to even try. They'd rather put out horrible sub-lines that die before they're even released.

I wouldn't worry too much about the TVC OT figures. It seems the EU stuff tends to be more of the scalper-bait, like Bastilla Shan and Malgus. Plus, even the "hard-to-find" stuff never really stays that way for too long with Hasbro. I've always said that in the 12 years of Hasbro SW figures, only maybe 40 figures are going for more than what they retailed for when they came out - everything else can be had for less.

So, more SW films on the way. I wonder what that means for the Hasbro line. If it continues then I guess they'll keep making OT stuff...albeit in even lesser amounts as the universe gets bigger and bigger.

That would be my guess... they just need to limp the line along for 3 more years until they can start cranking out new stuff for Ep VII and then re-release older figures to a new generation.

Well whatever happens, I'm sticking to the OT only and the 3 3/4 line only. At this rate though I suppose we'll never fully complete our Jabbas palace and cantina dioramas.

Very nice; broke down an ordered some of these on Amazon; considering they are $3 each above retail, scored my favs: weequay, royal guard and Niem Numb. Would have gotten Pune Face, but I literraly see no improvements since the last one; is this the same figure on a vintage card? Anyways, have the original original carded of him so no biggie

I may have to go online ot get the republic trooper, ain't seen a single one in stores. :(

A mess of figures arrived from Amazon today as well. Still missing my royal guards though.

It is a new head (with patch!) and just with a color change on the body paint and cloak fabric. Weapon is a new rifle instead of that Djas Puhr type long pistol that Panno came with.

Panno looks less cartoony but Prune Face has the nostalgia hit!

Thanks Glennfett for all the pics.

Whoa, thanks for the pics and analysis - don't recall the original looking that red in the head, but the body and rest seems dead on from memory....If I ever see these at retail, shall pick up Vintage Prune Face

You won't ever see these at retail. The last wave of Vintage is online exclusive only.
