Yep, and one time when I walked by they put down a bunch of ROTS Obi-Wan proof cards from the new Vintage line and said they would be giving away cards from a new character each day of the con. I made sure to grab one for myself and then picked up a nice case for it at AFA's booth.

Awesome... Nice score.

I can't wait for the new sail barge R2, he will be more to scale with the figures this time and should look great next to TVC Threepio.

It's funny that after 15 years they're still working on proper scale. It's been 9 years since POTJ when they first started working on proper scale, and right now they're just starting to get around to R2-D2?? haha.

Well, the vintage 3p0 figure is much bigger then Endor throne 3p0 but, he seems to be more in scale with his vintage counterpart R2 figure then say the VOTC figure is with the Endor 3p0 standing beside him.

This new R2 should be pretty damn small if it is going to be in scale with TVC Threepio.

I spent a long time talking at cv with the hasbro sculptor who does the majority of action figures. Asked him a million questions and he is incredibly talented.

I almost said I'm definitely buying those two Hoth sets-- and then I see the "Only at Target" stickers... Nice...

Anybody know if the K-Mart exclusive Jodo Kast qualifies for one of the UPC codes for the mail-away Boba Fett?

I want to go see if TRU got the new wave of Clone Wars figures. Looking for Fisto, Snow Rex, the Fire Clone and maybe one other. I am mad I can't find Bly of Stone anywhere, anyone have a spare? :monkey3

The Vintage Collection looks bad ass too, well the ROTS line does. Grievous and Cody are instant buys for me

Anyone know which proof card Hasbro is giving away today?

edit: I got the answer; Anakin

OK... Early morning run today brought only the AT-AT (which I left on the shelf-- no way I'm spending $100 on something that'll just be left in storage). I'm considering doing a late run (maybe 10ish pm)-- Anyone know when they usually stock the shelves in Wal-Mart? Any universal routine?... Or just random?

In my area they usually stock at night. Around 9 or so they begin pulling pallets out from the back. Hit around 10:30 or 11 and see what's going on.

Why does Hasbro not make any play sets for their SW figures?

Don't get me wrong, I really love how Hasbro is still making tons of great SW 3inch figures with amazing details and articulation. And the concentration on vintage packaging and vehicles is also just wonderful.

But what I don't understand is: Why is Hasbro releasing tons of these SW figures in re-packs, army builders, etc. But they won't re-release any of the classic play sets or make some cool display dioramas?

It's a real shame, I think. Thoughts?

They could do a limited run. I'm sure people would buy them.

A company like Hasbro can't do limited runs due to cost. They really are not set up for that, unless it's rehashing parts from other things. The one thing that they seem up to doing are the fold out cardboard sets that have come with recent mail away figures.

Merged... Again.

Let's try and keep questions regarding Hasbro in the Hasbro discussion thread. Thanks.

I got the Jabba set on Friday night and I just love it. I've been waiting for this toy ever since POTF2 started back in 1995. I also really like the little wheels on his throne and the bendy tail.
