Thanks, yeah, I think he is really awesome but yet he just wont stand. :monkey2

Does anyone have a Commander Bly, Commander Stone or Captain Rex Snow Gear for sale?

In my area they usually stock at night. Around 9 or so they begin pulling pallets out from the back. Hit around 10:30 or 11 and see what's going on.

Good call on this-- but I still might have been too early. Pallets were in the process of being brought out but no SW stuff in the boxes near the aisle.

Oh well... The Lost Summer of Jabba or The Hunt for The Fat Slug continues.

Man, I loved the Hasbro booth at CV. Here's some of the shots I got while there:

In case anyone is interested. The sculptor was there playing with some wax sculpts. He had a fully sculpted new Aayla Secura and a Super Articulated Dr. Evazan!! We are finally getting a new version of Evazan since 1996!!

Damn! I missed that. :panic:

At the Main Event on Saturday, George Lucas presented Jon Stewart with a one-of-a-kind Hasbro figure.

Don't get me wrong, I really love how Hasbro is still making tons of great SW 3inch figures with amazing details and articulation. And the concentration on vintage packaging and vehicles is also just wonderful.

But what I don't understand is: Why is Hasbro releasing tons of these SW figures in re-packs, army builders, etc. But they won't re-release any of the classic play sets or make some cool display dioramas?

It's a real shame, I think. Thoughts?

I was once told by a Hasbro rep (at CIV, IIRC) that Kenner lost or destroyed a great many of the toolings and molds for the vintage toys.

If this is true, they would have to remake them and there goes your cost-effectiveness.

What John Stewart ought to do is keep the figure for a few years (in the package of coarse) then sell it off in a charity auction. Can you imagine what that figure would bring in the collector market. Plus he could make a pretty penny for one of those many charities he's always supporting...
