and p.s..
why the F aren't Hot toys jumping in on the Indy license.
There so much awesome potential in ROTLA,let alone all the movies!
If they jump on this again I sure hope their “leather” doesn’t rot off of their $ 500 figure like it did the las time .

There will be no uniformed German soldier figures, no Mola Ram or Thuggee figures, and no Cairo Swordsman or any other "Arab" bad guys.

The only bad guys in the line are Belloq, Toht, Donovan, and Voller.

A figure of Antonio Banderas' character was also confirmed.

All of the figures listed by Yakface are pretty much all we're going to get. They said only about 25 figures in the line, and they've all been announced by now. It's very unlikely the line will continue after that.

Those limitations make my collector brain calculate that there's no point buying anything outside the most iconic looks of Indy himself and leaving it at that. Maybe Henry Snr.

It's gotta be a Disney thing.

Lego, Funko, Diamond Select, etc. All of them revealed their new Indy products recently and it's all the same stuff: variations of outfits Indy wore. No non-white bad guys. No Nazi characters unless they're just wearing a normal men's suit.

We'll never get an explanation, apology, or even an acknowledgment of why this is, but we all know exactly why.

"Here you go kids...Indiana Jones in all 15 of his iconic looks from the movies! Recreate...well...don't recreate anything cause there's no one for him to fight! But man...enjoy having Professor Indy and Possessed Indy on your shelf!"

The baffling thing is they even address Voller is a nazi in the new movie in the trailers so it’s not like Lucasfilm is trying to suddenly downplay Nazis. Toht is still a nazi. Lego has a nazi pilot in their airplane set along with a scantily clad native in their temple escape diorama set. Although rumor is Lucasfilm axed their temple of doom set, so there still may be some licensor interference.

Maybe they can partner up with some charities and have profits of nazi and other ‘problematic’ characters go to them as a good faith measure? And of course make all those figures Pulse exclusives. At least get them out somehow.

There's no need for "charities." There's no need to draw any attention to it. There are no "victims." No action figure has ever "harmed" anyone just by existing. It's all bull ****.

This is cowardice, pure and simple. Disney is terrified of some people whining on social media. It's no different than "Boba Fett's Starship." Actually it's way different...that toy is still being made.

I would tend to think that it is a Disney thing. Twenty years ago (Yikes, time flies), they released park-exclusive Indy products and their Flying Wing set did not have the swastikas painted on. I get it, but c'mon. It's a movie.

But their Ark crate did.

I have it with my 1/6 Afrika Korps now as a curiosity representing the end of an era.

The date for that appears to be 2003, since that's when Michael Crawford reviewed the wave:

From that series I only got the German Mechanic, because at the time Hasbro hadn't made him, and the soldier to get the crate.

I just went up into the attic to check on my Flying Wing as I couldn't remember what they did with it.

Every hakenkreuz (hooked cross) was replaced with a balkenkreuz (bar cross).

It's understandable since there's a fine line between respecting the fictional source and glorifying the reality, especially on toys primarily intended for children.

Ahh I forgot about the German soldier's crate having the emblem on it. Good call. I remember being incredibly excited when those figures came out after so many years of little to no Indy merchandise.

I got at least one of every Hasbro figure, playset and vehicle variation, and when it didn't look like there was going to be a Mechanic I sought out the old one, along with the crate.

Then the Hasbro 30th Anniversary set came out with the Mechanic, though I never opened any of those cards.

I can't remember who it was that made them now, but I also got custom 'Tough Sergeant' sculpts and a couple of 'chilled monkey brains'.

I only focus on 1/6 now, but kept all the Hasbro 3 3/4" series.

I wish I could find a teeny tiny decal or sticker that could go on Toht's lapel pin. It's sticks out a lot cause it's this glaring white dot on the figure's otherwise black suit.

Back in 2008, Sideshow had no problem including it just for the sake of accuracy, and as far as I'm aware, it didn't cause "an increase in hate crimes" or anything like that. Just sat on a bunch of nerds' shelves and didn't bother anyone.

Now it's absolutely unthinkable to even suggest that someone should make a little custom sticker we can use. Unless there's someone or a group that makes replica WWII stuff for models and dioramas that isn't afraid of being accused of awful things for selling said stickers. I am unaware of anyone that would be willing to risk it.

I wonder if there's some old model kit for a tank or plane somewhere that might have something usable. I don't know anything about WWII German markings though, so I doubt it.

And no, I don't have the tools or the skills to try to paint it myself. You'd need a jeweler's loupe and surgeon-like steady hands.

If you search for spare parts from 3R, the dark side of Dragon in Dreams, you might find an actual 1/6 gold party badge to replace it with.

The website only shows a tiny bit of their production, but a few figures shown had them.

As you said after this, sideshow were ballsy enough to include the insignia on toht with the 1/6 figure back in 2009. It wasn’t offensive, it was just a minute detail of his outfit, and they were just trying for accuracy. War crimes are actions, uniforms or apparel have nothing to do with it!

Hasbro be damned …this substitute is how a the revolver he comes with should be

Got a more era accurate pistol

The happy family

I tell you…for a Hasbro…I‘m liking these figures

And you're not gonna' say where you got that pistol? (It does look good!)
