at this point on BWE the tables have definitely turned. jimmy started out as the sympathetic character and nucky the prick............now it's kind of the other way around. jimmy is way too young & hotheaded to have that kind of power. im betting as all hell breaks loose we see jimmy have to make a big sacrifice with nucky to survive the war coming.

I don't think he was a prick, just someone who knew what had to be done and made it happen. Jimmy and his posse don't have clue what needs to be done to run AC.

It would also be interesting if they pull a Ned Stark.

nucky definitely knew how to get things done but comes off a bit callous with those close to him. understandadly not many in power like to have to explain why they makes choices & some of nucky's best lines are when he has to call people out for what he's done for them.

on another note i cannot wait to see what the butcher is going to bring when it is brought.....:lecture he's pissed, has knives, & can do attitude............:panic:

SO bummed about Jimmy's wife!! I really liked her. However, I still love the Butcher!! He is hardcore!

Jimmy is going to be pissed but I think Richard might take this event harder!

Only 2 episodes left! How is it going to end??? Can't wait!!

I was with this until last nights episode. I feel for Jimmy all over again.

I think jimmy is really going to go ape____ now that the only person that was keeping him in line is dead. He doesn't have to keep secrets from his wife anymore, and he is going to be brutally heartbroken. I see him inflicting some serious damage.

Jimmy dug his own grave and would not surprise me he gets put into in it.

The Butcher is awesome.

____ is also going to hit the fan with Nucky. Margaret is going to find out Nucky had her hubby offed and Nucky finds out she road his sidekick Irishman.

I can't say I feel sympathy for Jimmy at all, he let his arrogance get the better of him. He knew how dangerous Manny was and just kept dicking him around at every turn.

Yeah, I'm very curious to see Richard's reaction. He's an awesome character that needs more screentime.

I always suspected there had been some "interaction" between Jimmy and his mom. :monkey4

I can't stand Margaret right now. She has definitely become the least interesting and most exasperating character on the show. Van Alden on the other hand, I can't wait to see where the writers take him.

Yea Jimmy and his Mom, knew that was gonna happen. Was a bit awkward.

Margaret . . . . religion. :slap

:rotfl at Agent Nelson getting the fauk out of Dodge.

Only one episode left :(

This has been a great season. I hope everyone gets Emmy nominations/awards!! Jimmy/Mom scene was very uncomfortable to watch. Also, Goodbye to the colonel. I wish we could have seen more Richard. I am sure he is hurting just as much as Jimmy.

Yeah...I figured he thought Jimmy murdered his wife/lover. It was a relief seeing harrow nod to him as he cleaned up his mess.

So is Jimmy going to go back to nucky and be his right hand man? It doesn't look like jimmy has many friends besides harrow and I doubt he wants to keep trying to run the town. The irish guy probably won't go down without a fight...but I'm sure nucky will find out about him and want him to leave the country dead or alive. Then theres the butcher in philly..which will be a bloodbath im sure.

I'm looking forward to see where van alden goes from here.

Best summary of an episode I've seen :lol

Lot of great stuff last night, can't wait to see how it all plays out in the season finale.

Corrected. :)

The flashback scenes interspersed with the rest of episode seemed slightly disjointed, in my opinion, but still a great episode. Seems like Luciano, Capone, and Lansky are about to cut Jimmy out.

Richard took Angela's death pretty hard. It can be argued that she was a better friend to him than Jimmy was.

HBO, do not ____ this up like you did Sopranos.

You have two baller characters, Jimmy and Harrow. Do not turn them into Furio.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Richard is my favorite character. He is willing to fight to the death for his friends, and only expects the same in return (as evidence by when he asked Jimmy if he would fight for him). But he has lines he won't cross. He said he wouldn't kill Nucky when Capone suggested to Jimmy that he have Richard kill him, and even questioned Eli when the subject was brought up, staing "You would kill your own brother?". Such a afantastic character, I hope the screenwriters continue to do him justice.

I also love how the writers set up something that pays off later. Case in point: what happened to Van Alden and his former partner at the baptism at the lake. I just thought it served to illustrate what a fervent believer Van Alden is. Little did I know it would have the repercussion that it did...

Agreed on Richard 100%. I like the depth of his character and they never need to go farther. Just keep him as a badass side character.

Also agreed on the Van Alden story line, that came out nicely.
